Q: Does this have a plastic layer and does it make noise? Someone else asked this and did not get an appropriate answer. Please be precise such as yes or no.

submitted by Jackie - 2 years ago

  • A: It seems like it has a plastic layer. It makes noise and slides on the bed. I feel like I am sleeping on a slip n-slide and a diaper. I am not a fan and am going to return the one I bought.

submitted byMC Squared Family - 10 months ago

  • A: Layers: fabric top, poly fill padding & a plastic coated layer. It's slippery. All synthetic fabrics feel 'cool' to touch; not the same as cooling. Noise 3/10. Doesn't breathe. 100% has plastic layer.

    submitted byA_cat_is_typing_this - 7 months ago

  • A: Jackie - Thank you for your question. No, This pad is made with a waterproof layer, using a non-toxic fabric coating that’s designed to protect the mattress while being audibly quiet during use. I hope this helps. - Kate

Guests are saying

This mattress pad offers a blend of comfort and protection, featuring a soft and cooling top layer that many guests appreciate. However, concerns about its slippery underside and lack of true waterproofing have been noted. While it fits well on various mattress sizes and is easy to care for, some guests have experienced issues with heat retention and sliding sheets. Overall, it serves as a decent option for those seeking a comfortable mattress cover.

    A messy mattress protector.

The top may be cooling, but I hate the bottom. It feels like plastic. It’s so slippery that it makes the sheets slide & bunch up on my mattress. I’ve used it but I’m wishing I had returned it now!

It’s a good protector- soft and comfortable. The underside is slick and smooth, though. Nothing to help grip and prevent sliding if the mattress is smooth.

    NOT cooling

This is absolutely not a cooling mattress pad. There is a thick layer of plastic which, obviously, makes you sweat.

This mattress cover is the best ever. I have ordered 4 this time but a few years ago I had tried 1 and it has lasted thru washing and drying keeps it shape. Very soft and cooling. Waterproof is the top reason I keep buying. Never a doubt! Quality is great.
