A classic with many uses!
I will always have at least one jar in my pantry, I am able to use this sauce for so many recipes! This tasty sauce gives instant flavor to any meal I’m making. One of my favorite uses, is to just boil tortellini and toss in a little of this sauce for a super easy and quick lunch!

Consistent Taste
Rao’s is a very highly rated tomato sauce on Wirecutter, so I decided to try it. The flavor is decent with a nice hint of basil and garlic. I appreciate that RAO’s is not acidic and does warm well and taste fresh. The sauce is smooth and thick enough to stay on the pasta but my plate was watery as the sauce settled. For families, RAO’s produces larger jar than the usual 26 ounce jars. RAO’s is a very good sauce but costs more than double my usual brand. Compared to other commercial brand names the flavor is better which should be considered based on availability.

Roa’s sauce is one of my favorite sauce brands. The tomato basil flavor is perfect if you want something of Italian spice. It’s the perfect amount of herbs and has a very nice aromatic sweetness to it. It’s not to acidic and the texture is smooth as well. The after taste tho is a bit garlicky but that’s normal.

This is one of my go to marinara to buy. It has the perfect balance of seasoning and feeling like you're eating a real tomato. It has small chunks of tomato in it which i really enjoyed. It's very refreshing and flavorful.

Absolute Garbage, I would have been better to throw it in the trash….. Not even close to a real Tomatoe Basil sauce. I tried, because we were at a Airbnb and it wasn’t as equipped for cooking. My parents were born in Southern Italy and I’m used to the real thing!

The packaging is neat and tidy. The texture is so so. I couldn’t really tell much of a difference. The ingredients said it was pretty clean when it comes to that, but something made it taste off to me. I’m sure you could use it in a lot of things but I probably won’t.

Being Italian, it is very hard to find a tomato sauce I enjoy. I grew up eating homemade sauce often. As a mom of four, this is the best sauce I have come across that tastes most like homemade! It's easy to use and perfectly seasoned.
