Screws are easily stripped, had to use eyeglasses Phillips to get screws out. Was a birthday gift for my son and after opening the gift I looked on the box and it doesn’t even tell you what batteries it uses (2AAA, 3AA). Took my son outback to the pool with fresh batteries in the toy and the thing doesn’t even work. This thing is junk and will disappoint your kids. Do not buy.

Cannot open the screws to put the batteries at all.

Bought twice. Only works for an hour or less and then completely dies. I thought I had a malfunctioning shark 🦈 but the second one also sis not last. It would tilt to the side both times. The engine would give out or perhaps the water was getting into the batteries which made the toy fail. Does not last for than an hour of play. Not well made. Does not work well in bath tub or pool. Do not waste your money.

My kids had lots of fun with this shark. I didnt have problems with screws like other people. They are in tight, but with the right screwdriver, they will come loose without damage. It did stop working after an hour. The shark had lots of water in, we have drained this. Unfortunately our remote did not come with a sealing strip like the instructions say. So Im hoping water hasn't ruined it.

This toy does not have a turn off switch and the propellers got stuck in my daughter's hair. there was no way to turn it off and was very dangerous.

Description says “no tools required”, then how else am I supposed to open the battery compartment with screws? With my teeth? So now after purchasing this, I have to go to another store to purchase a mini screwdriver kit. Speaking of batteries. For almost $20, this should have batteries included. The fact that the remote takes AAA and the shark takes AA is RIDICULOUS. So now I have to add two different battery sizes to my mini screw driver shopping haul.

For the price it is not a bad bath or pool toy. My son enjoys it. I would have liked to have better directions on the controller on how to steer it.

This is so cute and my son and I were so excited to play with this in the pool but the screws would not come out no matter what we tried and we can't put batteries in

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shark remote control toy was much cooler than I thought. It floats well and then when you use the controls it speeds along. It can spin in circles which the kids found hilarious. I bought it for the pool but I could see it also being fun in the tub. The only downside is you are supposed to remove the batteries after every use (probably to let them dry) and the screw on bottom would not make that easy.

This is going to be a fun addition this summer not only for little children but adults too! Something different to stay entertained while in the water. I like that it is very lightweight and compact in size so you can use in smaller places like a bathtub to keep the kids entertained. The compartment is waterproof but I will dry off as requested by manufacturer when finished playing. The remote is easy to use and can keep in a pocket

Loved the shark for my grandson

Since it’s not quite warm enough out to use it in the water, she got it out to see how it would work and she loved that it came with a little small remote control and then the blue shark that will go in the water. This is such a fun toy and she’ll enjoy playing with this this summer.
