Red Heart Super Saver White

I bought Red Heart Supersaver Artist Print several months ago and recently began work on my new project with it. After 3 attempts, I had to quit using Artist Print yarn. This yarn is very scratchy and stiff. Working with it was uncomfortable and turned an enjoyable activity into a very unpleasant one. This is probably the last time I will use any Red Heart yarn. They are all scratchy to a degree and don't soften up a lot after washed. Artist Print was the worst.

I am a follower of Creative Grandma/Glenda and purchased this yarn to make the Round About Blanket she designed specifically for Red Heart Supersaver and Bitty Stripes. I LOVE the colors and the pattern shows them off well, but I'm having a very hard time with the yarn splitting and pulling. When I finish the blanket, I will wash it and hopefully the yarn will soften up. I have used Red Heart yarn before and have not experienced this problem. Perhaps I have usually been knitting rather than crocheting. Is it possible to have a yarn that is better suited for knitting than it is for crochet? Interesting thought!

I’m looking forward to use my shocking pink with my jazzy ombré yarn for a little girl’s afghan. She loves pink, so I’m happy to make it for her. I have used other shades, ombres, and colours for many different afghans and will post a picture of what I have done in the past.

I am 84 years old knitter and crochet since teenage years. I have used Bernat, Caron, and Red Heart continuously. They make a beautiful finished product, wash well and gorgeous colors. Love it all.

The yarn just came today and I can't wait to make the Crochet Firework Throw. The colors look like the photo in the directions.

Love the Stripes yarn! I use it, along with some of the colors of the stripes, as well as colors that blend, to make colorful afghans for our local children's hospital. They turn out beautifully.
