Ryka Women's Devotion X Walking Shoes

After a very long search for a comfortable walking shoe, this one is amazing. I had plantar fasciitis and a high instep and a little arthritis, and I didn’t even need my inserts with this shoe. No break in time needed! Better than all those high end athletic sneakers. Hope they make them in solid black.

These shoes are very comfortable and supportive. I don't have any foot pain after wearing these all day.

This sneaker is a good choice for anyone who is on their feet for long hours (i.e. nurses). So glad I took a chance on these and that they were available in my size (5).

I recently bought these for a 2 week trip to Europe. I suffer from plantar fasciitis so was very concerned with having comfortable, supportive shoes. These exceeded my expectations. I walked 184km over the two weeks and while my feet were tired they never hurt. The shoes were supportive over cobblestones, pavement and marble and I never once turned an ankle. The only area that could be improved was breathability. After walking all day I did find them warm.

I love the Devotion X shoes. Im able to insert my own orthotics into them. I've tried some of the other Ryka sneakers like the Devotion X plus or the trail ones, but these are my favorites. Great color choices too. I travel everywhere in them.

The shoes are true to size. It doesn't matter what type of flooring I walk on - they squeak like crazy! Very annoying.

I ordered these from DSW on Dec 30, 2024. Wore them inside walking on a treadmill until the weather was warm enough for me to go outside. Walk 20-50 minutes usually 3-4 days a week in my neighborhood. The shoe is wide but I laced it up tight and didn't think anything about it. Now there is a wear spot in the right heel right where my heel bone hits. The thin layer of fabric and thinner layer of foam is worn completely away, and the hard plastic heel frame is exposed. I found that I also have holes in my socks at that same spot because I am rubbing against the worn fabric and hitting the hard surface. The construction of the heel is too wide since it allows too much rubbing, and the cushioning at that spot is negligible. Five months of light-normal wear should not wear through that fast. Too bad, I used to love Ryka shoes. But the quality is not the same. I should have known, since DSW sells the 'badly designed' shoes for the manufacturers. The irony is, the walking shoes I replaced were 15 years old, still in good shape, after much heavier wear, and I only got rid of them because they looked 15 years old. They had a thick heavy sole, thick internal padding, arch support and a roomy toe box. All the manufacturers just aren't making anything as well anymore.

These are cute sneakers. Got compliments from my teenager when I opened them. I bought these to replace my old and worn out walking/jogging shoes. I should have kept the old ones. The Rykä’s gave me blisters during my first workout that still haven’t healed. The size guide is not accurate. So I will take a bit of blame because the shoes are a bit too wide. But it’s been 3 weeks and they are not broken in. I had to resort to the elliptical machine because of the pain.

I have always been partials to Rykas and trying to find a shoe that will hold up to my day in health care can be difficult. Ive been wearing them for about a week and the sole is so supportive and comfy. It has an actual sole as opposed to memory foam. The only complaint was the heel was a bit more narrow and stiffer than my last set so i had a small blister from my first day wearing them, but thats healed and are fine now. I wish Rykas were easier to find to try on! I found these at a DSW to try on then had to order them online due to them it having my size.

Was looking for a good comfortable walking shoe, haven't had much success in the past so decided to treat myself to these and they are wonderful. Planning on getting another pair.

These shoes are very comfortable. I walk on pavement r on my road and the amount of cushion in the shoe is amazing. It feels so much better than preclude sneakers that did not absorb the shock of the road.

I wear nothing but Rykas any more. I just had my second knee replacement and need to feel confident in the shoes I am wearing. My Rykas feel light as a cloud, so comfortable to have on all day, and the provide amazing support!

I have severe arthritis and a bunion. Tendinitis in my foot. These sneakers are amazing. I get the wide ones and they are perfect. I’m ordering more.

This is a very comfortable sneaker and I love the light teal color. The fabric allows you to wipe off dirt easily with a little soap and water.

Very squeaky. I love the fit and feel, just wish they didn't make so much noise on uncarpeted floors.

These shoes are extraordinarily comfortable and fit my feet like no other walking shoe. I am greatly impressed, and they are my current “go to” shoe for everyday walking and normal activities.

I have arthritis in my foot & ankle so I needed a supportive , comfortable shoe for walking. I ordered the Devotion Max Rs tennis shoe in orange. Wow! They are stylish, perfect fit, supportive, comfortable, & helps with my balance when I walk. A game changer for me. I’ll be ordering a second pair!!
