This tape holds to surfaces for up to 3 days and then removes easily without leaving any sticky residue behind. I love using the Scotch Heavy Duty Masking Tape for all my household DIY Projects that I have already recommended it to several of my friends and family who loves to do DIY Projects at their homes, and many of them have already purchased and used it, and love to use this tape very much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, an anticipated paint project did not materialized, so I found another use for this great tape, which was furnished by 3M for a consumer review. It is excellent for COVID directional markings . . . on the walls without worry of paint damage or marring. Does anyone really look at the floor where most arrows are placed? Not really. Further, the way instructions are changing (daily, it seems), this easy-on, easy-off tape is ideal for the times.

I used this on painted surfaces--both smooth, semi-gloss painted, and flat painted. I used it with wood, plastic, and cardboard. It held as needed and did not mar surfaces when removed. I find this a versatile tape to use and appreciate the color which is easy to spot in storage situations.

I know it is not intended for this purpose, but my teething puppy has tried to nibble on some molding corners and chair legs. I put some of this masking tape down and it has really deterred her without taking the paint off of the wood or leaving a sticky residue! Great stuff :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Masking Tape 2020+ is my new go to product. I have used and tested this tape on many different types of projects. My favorite (most rewarding) was creating a chalkboard on my office closet door. I didn’t want something bulky, so I decided to go the route of chalkboard paint instead. I put Scotch Heavy Duty Masking Tape 2020+ to the test as my border to paint inside. I had visions of razor-sharp paint lines for the outside border….and I was not disappointed when peeling off the tape after the paint dried. This tape really sticks where you need it to, repositions with no problems and removes without any issues. No sticky residue either. I love the bright color. It is a real attention getter which brings me to my second project that involved using this tape as an identifier to boxes that contained recently organized items. This tape pulls easily from the roll. I did not experience the dreaded tear in the tape when only a part of it is coming off the roll and the other half remains on the roll. Additionally, one swipe of the hand across the tape and it is was adhered to the box and the ends remained intact without curling up. Scotch Heavy Duty Masking Tape 2020+ is definitely a game changer. There is nothing better than one item that can suit the needs of many projects. The perfect stocking stuffer!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this tape on the carpet and also on painted wood to keep paint off when I touched up a couple of places on my walls. The tape came off better than I expected after leaving it on for 3 days. Since it peeled off clean in one strip and didn't shred or rip into smaller bits & pieces, it made my whole job touch-up job easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this to mask off some area inside a 79 Trans Am we are restoring. Perfect timing to receive this product to review. We had gutted the car completely and were getting ready to spray lizard skin into the bottom before we install the carpeting. Used this to tape off areas under the dash and the middle column to keep the over spray out. It worked like a charm, even in this GA heat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used the Scotch Heavy Duty Masking Tape both inside and outside and I’ve been extremely pleased with the results. It’s been over 90 degrees and I used the tape outside on siding and it stayed in place and didn’t leave any sticky residue when it was removed. Inside I used it on wood moldings and again it was easy to apply and remove after painting. Also the orange color made it easy to see. The tape can also be written on and used when packing boxes. I would definitely purchase when I need more.
