They add sophistication to a room, I really they would have been a great addition to a bedroom or a living room but I do not have 2 night stands to make them look nice. However they are great above my fireplace/ book shelf! They are very good quality and have a on and off switch to make it easier to turn on and off without having to unplug the lamps every time.

The base could be a bit more weighted, I was surprised how light they were. I’m not a huge fan of the power cord switch rather than a pull chain on the lamp. It compromises functionally for looks. Other than that it’s a perfect product.
