Q: Do these plates change color with heat? The images look like maybe the map graphics disappear/reappear, but I can't tell if that's just the lighting. Thanks!
A: Hello, The porcelain place setting is not heat changing. Due to the reflective nature of the gold design it is altering the image. The detail on the dinnerware is all gold. It does not contain any black. Thank you for your inquiry, Toynk.com

Q: can You eat off of these plates? This set states premium construction and licensed but the gold set states quality construction and no mention of being licensed. Why the difference? Thanks so much! Kind regards. Keep safe.
A: Hi Potterfan4life, Yes, you can definitely eat off these plates. The current set (Se7en20 Harry Potter Marauder's Map 4-Piece Porcelain Place Setting Set) and gold set (I believe you are referring to the Robe Factory LLC Harry Potter Marauders Map 16-Piece Ceramic Dinnerware Set) are manufactured by two different companies. Those companies provide us with the features you see in the bullets and description on the Target website but rest assured that both sets are officially licensed or it would not be allowed to be called a Harry Potter product.
