A: Hi, Sadie. Thank you for the question! ShedRain completed its transition to 100% PFAS Free umbrellas in November 2023. While it's possible that there may be still be some old inventory out there, it's unlikely there's much left in the stores from before the transition in our production. So I'm guess I'm saying there's a 98% chance that an umbrella you buy today will be 100% PFAS Free. John

I bought this umbrella on a whim, it was raining when I got to the store and figured I might as well get a nice umbrella to keep in the car. I really like the deployment button, and the feel of the umbrella, it really feels premium imo. It worked well when using it. My only gripe is that the shaft isn’t as long as I would’ve expected it to be, which isn’t a deal breaker but did make it feel rather awkward to use.

arrived with multiple tears in the fabric. i'm keeping it because I can't be arsed to return a $25 umbrella, but I won't buy another from either shedrain or target, considering the quality control.

I love this umbrella. Besides the overall look, it is super sturdy, and just feels like a quality product. The vents / layered design make this especially useful to me as I live in an area where there is always a breeze, and if it’s raining it’s probably blowing at the same time. I still wouldn’t take it out in an all out windstorm, but it can handle a decent breeze. And if you are just looking for some shade on a hot day, the canopy is large enough to keep you covered and cool!

Super cute and stylish umbrella that keeps me dry when it's raining or pouring outside. The umbrella is a really great size and it doesn't flip inside out even when the wind is treacherous. It has an amazing vented canopy that is wonderful.

I lived in Seattle for awhile where its always rainy so I can tell a high quality umbrella.The vortex umbrella is high quality. The handle is comfortable and there is two arrows with the top one opening the umbrella and the bottom one closing it. The material the umbrella is made of is durable and strong. It is supposed to be able to with stand up to 75 mph wind gusts without the umbrella flipping inside out. I have been in strong wind on a trip I took to the coast. I am not sure what speed the wind was but the umbrella worked and it was super windy.

Opened it, because it was raining, and then went to close it to walk through a narrow path under scaffolding. The button broke and flew away and the umbrella cannot be manually opened now. Luckily, the rain let up tonight. I bought the umbrella in October 2023 and I plan to return it to Target tomorrow.

Best umbrella ever! I use this for the rain, sun protection and so much more! Super durable and strong to stand up to high winds. Has special strings inside to help. The button makes it super easy to open and close. Living in Florida with lots of unpredictable storms I am glad to have this umbrella to get the job done!
Bought an umbrella, it broke. Had to walk 10m in hail. Got this umbrella, and it was windier outside and did not break. People leaving reviews without using it, what are you even doing 🤣???

Wow! What a great little umbrella. Unlike many smaller umbrellas, this one feels super sturdy. I also really like that it’s simple- easy open and close and holds up well on rainy days. To top it off, the print on this umbrella is super cute. Can’t say enough great things. Highly recommend!

Very nice umbrella, sturdy. There is an up arrow and down arrow on the handle to pop umbrella up and open, and a down arrow to close the umbrella (and then you manually push umbrella down to handle). The up arrow is a lot easier to press than the down arrow, maybe with time it will get easier.

I selected this one to keep in the car incase of getting caught in bad weather while out and about. I haven't had the opportunity to use it in action but it takes up space in the car nicely and I guess I'll be glad I have it when the time comes. Wish the handle was longer and the style options were limited. Different prints and colors would be great.

Although its small, it is a very convenient umbrella. The push button open/close option is honestly the best part about it. It rains a lot where I live so not having to fight to open and close is a great benefit.

A really nice looking and well-built umbrella. It does the basics, but how often do you see broken umbrellas on the street after a storm with strong winds? I haven’t had a chance to put this to the test due to good weather, but it’s built for that with vents to allow air flow

Nice, small umbrella. Very lightweight and compact when not in use. Big enough for one person (though not more than one). Held up well in strong rain and in a moderate wind. Planning to keep it in my purse until rainy season is over.

Sturdy umbrella, it holds up well to moderate rain when used. It could be a bit wider, but this style is more compact so good in urban settings and to put in a bag when going out. Opens and closes easily and seems well made.

What a great umbrella. It’s sturdy, and I LOVE the size. It folds up nice and compact, and opens up big and wide. It seems well made and like it’ll last a long while without breaking. It gives great coverage from both rain and wind. One push opening AND one push closing is so convenient when I have my hands full. The only drawback is how heavy it is, but that didn’t stop my daughter from wanting to use it when we went for a walk!

It's a little hard to close but it's compact and great to have stashed away in the car. It has strings on the inside that are supposed to help prevent the umbrella from turning inside out but I haven't tested it in windy conditions yet to see if they really work.

Fantastic little but yet, still gets big enough to completely keep you covered! It works very well. Super easy to operate and comes with a great little info tag as well. Love the all black color because it goes with everything.
