This is a great versatile bench that looks stylish. Instructions for assembly could have been better but got it done. Love the storage area and the shelf underneath. Luckily it match my other furniture.

In the photo the wood looks quite white. Description says white. But the bench is not white. It is a dirty beige at best and the wood grain is darker yet. I was disappointed because I looked for a white bench with some character for a long time. I would have been thrilled if it was white. Went together quite easily but the hinges continue to slide back and forth and the lid can come right off if you aren't careful. Well, the lid won't come off, the hinges will disengage, and the weight of the top will cause the hinges to bend.

Great bench, especially for the price! It is a good size, bigger than I expected and heavy. Looks very nice in the entryway of our house. Easy to assemble, in fact my wife put it together and only needed my help when it came time to turn it upside down for the legs to be installed, and then right side up again. Nice to have the storage compartment for hats, gloves and those types of items you need to grab on your way out.
