The only protein bars I liked for years and years were Zone Bars. they were discontinued and I was lost. I must’ve tried 12 brands that were pretty awful before I lucked out at a coffee shop one day. they happened to have Simply Protein bars and I tried one. It was absolutely delicious and the calorie count was low. i’m now a huge fan.

I was excited by these high protein, low sugar bars! The flavor was just okay - I was craving something a little more salty, a little more crispy, and maybe a little more sweet (but I wanted no sugar, so the last one on me). It was frankly a little bland. The worst is the gas! I nearly killed myself and my husband a few hours after eating this. Seriously - the worst. Everything else I ate that day was part of my normal diet, except this bar. I went sleuthing and found I’m not alone. Buying beware!

New formulation is worse tasting and dryer, has more calories and fat, and is more weight watchers points. They used to be 2-3, and now they are all 4 points. Moving on to another brand.

They used to be good, but then they decided to add a bunch of sweetener. Now they just taste like a sugary candy bar. I liked them because they did not taste like candy, but this company probably got a lot of feedback from fat and sugar addicted Americans saying they didn't like the taste.

I liked these because they had decent macros and didn’t make me feel super full before working out. But recently they changed the recipe and now they have less protein for more calories :/ kind of defeats the purpose at that point. I might as well get some other bar with more protein now.

I love the variety pack of Simply Protein bars at Costco but they aren’t available on the website so I tried these instead - they have a totally different flavor and texture, these are not near as tasty as the other ones. Average at best

I tried both the peanut butter and dark chocolate flavor, and both myself and my boyfriend had horrific day long gas and painful cramps. I liked the flavor but would not try these again.

THANK YOU!!!! I am not crazy!!! I find these bars to be delicious!!! But man….. maybe only eat them at home when you can fart freely and loudly! I am at work and for the last two days can’t seem to figure out why I am so gassy. But thankfully for the reviews I have solved the problem!!! I will be careful to not eat them at work. Worse can you imagine eating them before a long flight!!!

Both the chocolate and peanut butter bars are very dry...the chocolate bars also have a very unpleasant aftertaste with each bite. Really can't figure out why. I won't be ordering again. Such a waste of $$.
