Q: What is this age suitable for? Is it meant more for toddlers and not so interesting for 6-7 year old?

submitted by MelySA - 2 years ago
  • A: Depends on the interest of your child honestly. I bought this for my kids, 10 and 6 but I'm the one who's interacting with it mostly and loving it lol. So if you can't have a pet but want a companion, then Moji is good for adults alike.

Q: What kind of battery and how many

submitted by Karen - 2 years ago
  • A: Four C batteries are needed

Q: How many batteries are needed for Moji?

submitted by PatM - 2 years ago
  • A: You need four C batteries

submitted byChristine - 1 year ago

Q: Are there volume or mute options to make the barking noises less loud or silenced (but still have it on and moving)?

submitted by AS - 2 years ago
  • A: There are two volume options only. One is full blast and the other is just slightly more quiet. There is a button on the bottom of Moji where the battery compartment is to adjust the volume.

Q: Do you think a 5 year old girl will play with this

submitted by Ash - 2 years ago
  • A: Yes even 7 and 10 year olds love this!!!!!!

submitted byTbone - 2 years ago

Q: Is this dog able to walk or does it only do tricks?

submitted by kmk - 2 years ago
  • A: It does not walk but it does tricks on command - Moji sit, Moji up (for example)

Q: Is 17 Inches (H) x 17 Inches (W) x 8 Inches (D) the overall size of its box?

submitted by andrea - 6 months ago

Q: Does the food bowl come with this?

submitted by Grandmother - 6 months ago

Q: The collar won't read any of the color cards even though we've turned it off and on, changed the batteries and reset it. This has been since we got it out of the box. Does anyone have any ideas?

I bought two of these. I purchased a backup in case one didn’t work. (After reading online reviews this brand seems to be very unreliable!!!) The scanner didn’t work on either dog. It’s unable to read the cards properly! We also purchased (2) of the Guinea pigs which the hatch stopped working on both of them and (2) of the fish that didn’t swim. None of the items worked properly and they are on the more expensive end for toys. We ended up returning all 5 items. One dog couldn’t be returned because we missed the return window.

The dog was great until it stopped working. My daughter played with the dog for about a month, it became her best friend. Now she thinks it is dead. We tried 2 sets of new batteries and the dog will not respond

My daughter picked this out for her birthday. I was hesitant because of the reviews and the price but honestly, this is a great toy. You can rename him/her using it’s tag. My daughter picked Murphy. Murphy is not loud, he goes to sleep after idling for about 5 minutes. He’s very cute and his hair doesn’t mat. You can teach him tricks (which my daughter LOVES.) I recommend this toy. Do not listen to the reviews saying he will break. My daughter has accidentally dropped this toy on its head so many times and he’s fine. Customer service seems to be pretty good too, they replace and take care of whatever you need. I only know this because my sisters child broke hers (she fell down the steps with the dog at the bottom and she crashed into him pretty bad but he broke her fall lol.)

This will break within days of opening. We had it working for maybe 2 days and then it’s legs completely stopped moving. Tried to reset and new batteries. Nothing worked. I would absolutely not recommend buying this for the price. Ridiculous

Very cute idea and the kids did love it at first but after awhile the dog wouldn’t respond to the command cards well even after battery changes. Such a shame because it was a really cute toy first few days!

Seems like there are some flaws. It does not work the way the instructions say and have to flip the switch on and off often, and it is hard to get to it. Also batteries were very expensive. It is a cute dog, but I don’t think it will be played with often because of the glitches, so it wasn’t worth the money.

Ok guys! This dog is AMAZING. We struggled a bit to get it to work also but once we figured it out - happy hearts! First make sure the language button is in English/Spanish. Left is English, to my understanding. Read and walk through the directions. They’re easy to skim over, but take a little time to be thorough. That was our downfall last time. When you press one of the command cards, line it up just right with the paw on the card over the paw on the collar. It has to be just right, even a tiny bit lower at times. Try a time or three and you’ll have the hang of it. If you’ve done it right, it will make a happy sound and he will take a little time to move around to do the action you’ve requested. Also, there are tips in the instructions for how to pet him/ her for certain actions and also to make him happy, “Good boy. I love you.” You can also change the name by using the card with various names on it. Some of the card commands are also what you can learn to say out loud, but not to reward him, let him pee, eat a cupcake, etc. The card that cracks me up most is broccoli. His reaction is priceless. He also responds well to certain kinds of touch, and you can tell by his reaction. Use the name “Charlie” or whichever pre-determined name you use, and give enough time for him to show that you have his attention before the command. Just a slight pause. Little kids have a tough time waiting, and just want to yell 😂 Multiple people commanding or noise from the tv lr background activity might be a nuisance as well, as you train your puppy. I hope this helps because once you get the hang of it, this little guy/girl is super impressive. Don’t say it doesn’t work and return it just to end up realizing it was working fine all along and getting the pup tossed in a landfill. They say the more you play with your Moji, the more his needs will change. I’m excited to see how this pup “grows up.” I’m not the type to leave reviews (usually), but just understanding that some of y’all were frustrated as were we, I hoped this would help out. Def 5 stars.

The Moni we got is very glitchey. His collar will show something, and when the card is presented he doesn't respond- he just keeps "asking". It's very frustrating to a young kid who wants it to work and is trying. Moji's movements also make lots of noise. For the price, I am underwhelmed and would not reccomend
