This have lozenges have been a life safer in letting me lay down and getting to sleep without acid reflux and GERD happening when my body is laying down horizontal. I used to have to try and sleep sitting up in bed which is very hard for a side sleeper and someone who gets back pain sleeping on back. I've tried and still take Slippery Elm pills but found these lozenges work best because the issue for me is in my throat not my stomach. Sucking on these lozenges soothes my throat and seems to make any acid either slip back down to my stomach and it neutralizes the acid. In the past before starting this I had ulcer

I really liked Thayers slippery elm lozenges for acid reflux. This didn’t work for me.
