Snuggle the Baby - by Sara Gillingham (Board Book)

About the Book

This interactive novelty book invites the reader to take care of a new baby, from feeding and diaper-changing to swaddling and shushing.

Book Synopsis

Part board book, part doll, Snuggle the Baby introduces young children to caring for a new baby through hands-on play and gentle storytelling. It includes a sturdy removable paper doll to encourage interactive play, caregiving, and imaginative learning.

Perfect for soon-to-be older siblings and all toddlers who enjoy baby dolls, Snuggle the Baby helps little ones build confidence, empathy, and excitement about caring for others while they read and play.

Incorporating real newborn-care techniques, children can interact with the baby in the book in a variety of ways--from feeding baby with a removable bottle to swaddling baby in a soft blanket. Along the way, they practice empathy, nurturing, and the skills that help prepare them for becoming a big brother or big sister.

Featuring warm retro-inspired illustrations from award-winning author and illustrator Sara Gillingham, this fun and instructive novelty board book plays like a doll and reads as a gentle "How to Care for Baby" guide for toddlers and preschoolers.

Activities include:

• Feeding
• Shushing
• Tickling
• Diapering
• Rocking
• Swaddling
• Tucking baby into bed

Note: The sturdy paper doll from the next to last page should be removed from the book and pressed into the empty spot on the final page as you tuck Baby in with the blanket. Missing the baby in the last page is not a defect.
