A: YES! These towels shed more than any I have purchased in 50+ years! They shed in the washer. Then they shed so much in the dryer that it is necessary to empty the lint 2 or 3 times before they dry.

A: We purchase.d the towels and wash clothes in grey from a target store abut a year ago. They were very plush but have been a disaster and nearly damaged our LG dryer. The lint was like nothing I’d ever experienced and it took two plus cycles to dry them each time. They eventually turned into something similar to wax paper after all that shedding.

A: Answer: Other than various countries constructing these towels, I believe the huge discrepancy in GSM label is that the more you wash and dry these towels, the lighter they become due to lint. :-)

I love these bath towels. They get better after each wash. I have thewhite in the bath towel and the bath sheet. I purchased these for our cabin in Phelps Wi. I am very impressed with these towels. I have much expensive ones at home and honestly it’s hard to tell the difference. I love the hanging hooks. Washing towels! I recommend hot water, baking soda with vinegar has your fabric softener. I use 2 small squirts of Walter and Rosie Beach Club for a scent. You can also use Tide Free and Clear. I like the powder version or All Free and Clear (Liquid) add 2 small squirts of Beach Club. You will LOVE IT! I use this method washing my sheets too.

these towels suck. we got them for Xmas and every time you use them little balls go flying all over the place plus my rings get snagged on them very easy. I always wear my rings when I take a shower and no other towels that I own snag from them. I would never buy these on my own.

I'm so disappointed with Target for selling the towels I purchased, they are absolute garbage! I have bought my linens and towels from Target for decades, and always found the products affordable and of good quality, so when I received the towels and they looked great, I just threw out the mailer and packaging and washed them to remove any initial lint. But after washing them twice, there was so much material that came off it filled my dryer lint trap, was all over the floor and all over me! They are still covered in loose pieces of terry cloth and will not be usable. A total waste of money!

Gorgeous, but not exactly practical (for me)
Absolutely gorgeous towels and well worth their price, but there are a few things that don’t make them super functional in my opinion. 1) They’re SO soft and so plush…so much so that they feel less like a towel and more like a fleece throw. While not entirely a bad thing, maybe, it is a rather off-putting feeling. 2) Due to the above, they really aren’t absorbent at all. It felt more like they were moving the water around as opposed to picking it up and getting it off of me. 3) Holy COW, do they shed. You don’t immediately notice it — after I showered and dried off, I put lotion on and I looked like I had fleas. All the tiny fibers from the towels rolled up on my skin and were a real pain to get off, especially once they were mixed with moisturizer. I’m hoping the above issues will resolve once they’re washed several times and they’re more “broken-in”. But as of right now, they’re not towels that I reach for first and I can’t honestly say I’d recommend them for actual use. They’d be perfect for display towels, though!

Feel nice and soft. Dry skin well. BUT will ruin anything else washed with them. Balls of fuzz that will not come off. Ruined 6 pair of new socks and pajamas and lots of nylon clothes. Even washing them alone doesn’t work because little balls of cotton stay in the washer and dryer.
