Description

The Spectra® 28mm Single Breast Flange provides efficient breast pumping sessions with maximum comfort. To obtain the proper suction during pumping, the Spectra® 28mm Single Breast Flange funnel centers over your nipple to create a seal around the areola. The Spectra® 28mm Single Breast Flange creates a vacuum to gently draw the nipple inside the funnel to extract milk. Manufactured without BPA, the Spectra® 28mm Single Breast Flange is easy to clean and safe for moms and babies. If you're double pumping you'll need to purchase two Spectra® 28mm Single Breast Flanges. The Single Breast Flange can be used as a replacement part or for moms needing an extra breast flange handy at home, or in the office.

    “Standard nipple”

    It’s honestly disappointing that 24 mm is considered the “standard” flange size when so many women need much smaller sizes. I’m a 13 mm, and finding the right flange size can be surprisingly difficult. I wish pumps came with a wider range of sizes instead of assuming one standard fits everyone. Breastfeeding and pumping are already hard enough without having to hunt down the right equipment size!

    Thank you for finally releasing a smaller size!

    As a mom with smaller nipples, I can’t express how grateful I am for this 16mm flange size. Finding the right fit has always been a challenge for me, and using standard-sized flanges in the past was uncomfortable and often led to poor milk flow.

    Only one in a pack

    These are very expensive for only coming with one flange. Not sure why they are not sold in packs of 2 because you need 2 to pump.

    works well!

    I use a set of these size 24 flanges with my Spectra S1 plus pump - I'm on baby #2 and its holding up well. Very nice added features on the pump like timer and night light.

    Too rigid, Could be softer.

    I exclusively pumped for a year. My spectra pumps (s1 and s9) emptied me the best. But the flanges were not too kind to me lol. I used some inserts to make them softer. I wish the plastic flanges were not so rigid but they did get the job done.

    Wish I can clean better!

    I exclusively pumped so my spectra pump worked around the clock with me for a year. It was reliable and did a good job but I just wish this flange was easier to clean. I kept replacing it once I saw the tell-tale sign of biofilm growth where my milk was trapped in the flat portion before the bend. If spectra sold a cleaning pipette/sponge that worked specifically with cleaning out the flanges it would have been a more hygienic product in the long run.

    Congratulations on your pumping journey! The CDC recommends washing pump parts in warm soapy water after every use and rinsing with clean water. We currently do not offer a brush or other cleaning tools. We are always looking for ways to better support our breastfeeding families. Thank you for your valuable feedback!

    The spectra is my go to!

    Ive exclusively pumped & breastfed both daughters and for my daughters and highly recommend this pump to my mom friends. The output is great, love the different options for comfort, and overall always have a good experience

    Spectra pump needs to join the 21st century

    Battery life is poor Should have a better indicator of when it is about to shut off due to low battery life. Wi-fi feature to record pump time/ length and ounces would be good

    Works great

    I like these parts and the pump more than my Medela. My only complaint is I wish there were less parts. It’s honestly so many pieces to have to take apart and clean and put back together again.
