The coffee has, to me, a darker flavor which is not my favorite but it's good. Vanilla is one of my favorite flavors in coffee. The lavender really is delicate. Just a little too delicate. For me anyway.

Nauseating
Nauseating flavor. I usually like lavender flavor in my coffee but this was like lotion or perfume, after one sip I dumped the pot that I made and threw the whole bag away. Definitely not something I would recommend to anyone.

Pass on this one...
I tend to like most flavors Starbucks puts out. This one is the first kind that I tried one and now I don’t know what to do with the rest of the box. I have a pretty forgiving palate but this was truly a miss. I’d suggest avoiding. The perfume/bug spray taste comments are accurate unfortunately.

Bland As Dirt.
I was thrilled when I saw this. It was a toss up between this and the knockoff version. I went with the more expensive BRAND name one. I can’t say how disappointing the choice was. If flavor is a priority, you won’t want THIS. The let down was as big as I felt the last time I entered an actual Starbucks coffee shop- tasteless, lacking any UMPH, and no Flav-flav. It had been stripped down to what is being called, “back to the basics”, aka BLAND as dirt. The coffee is extremely bland and tastes very, very light. There are absolutely no under tones of lavender nor vanilla. Starbucks, as a whole has taken a steep decline since its introduction of their “new CEO” ; leave this losing taste on the shelf.

The Latte Recipe was key for me
All the reviews were very helpful in trying out this unique blend. I didn't care for the brewed coffee as is (lavender too strong, coffee bitter) but creating the "Vanilla Lavender Crafted Latte" per instructions on the package made all the difference. I had to sub out a bit of sugar for the honey and used oatmilk. Delicious and worth a 2nd try if you like these popular flavors! I use the analogy of smellingan essential oil blend straight out of the bottle vs diffusing it. I appreciate Starbucks using only natural flavors.

So.. this blend is the best that I could imagine for vanilla and lavender. Vanilla forward, lavender middle note. A bit bitter. After sipping this and mulling over my conclusion, suddenly my brain said STOP. BUG SPRAY. That was my conclusion.. this tastes just like RAID spray smells. My brain will not disconnect that connection. But.. I still give it 5 stars because the actual blend is accurate.

Simply wonderful
I gave up coffee in 2020 because I like espresso better. I usually hate K cups and coffee now. But this changed my mind and heart. It is my new favorite and I hope it becomes a staple and not limited time only. Or if not a 365 offering then something seasonal I can look forward too.
