A: I guess they don't want people to know it's processed with methylene chloride.

A: Yes. I’ve been drinking this delicious decaf coffee for several years and it has been fine. I’ve had GERD issues for many years but I control it through what I eat and occasionally taking omeprozale.

Starbucks use chemicals to remove cafeine making this unhealthy to drink, it can cause cancer, the chemicals ethyl acetate or methylene chloride are used to make paint remover.

Wanted to buy this but they use SOLVENTS to decaffeinate their coffee. Always look for water process or Swiss water process for decaffeinated coffee. Peet’s uses water process exclusively for a their decaffeinated coffees.

This tastes great, but I am disappointed to find that Starbucks uses the solvent to decaffeinate rather than the Swiss method. I'd rather pay more for a quality product. Too bad, because the taste is great.

Starbucks no longer offers any coffee decaffeinated by the nontoxic Swiss water process. Tried this variety, thinking Starbucks would surely use nontoxic decaf since it’s such a big company. Should have known better. I had a headache within 30 minutes of drinking this.

Great dark rich flavor, but.... very pricy and Target used to offer a good price complared to others, usually offering $$$ off if you purchased 2 at a time. But all that is over now. So sorry Target, I'll be looking for the lowest price and purchasing elsewhere.

Starbucks uses Chemical solvent: methylene chloride to remove caffeine from its beans. A safer way to remove is the Swiss method

This is a great coffee, but my 2-star rating is on Target. When I picked up my order, I checked the expiration date, coffee expires in 4 days. Most coffee has a 1-3 mo. shelf life. Target employees need to do a better stocking job. I returned the coffee.

I use this to make decaf cold brew. I brew it on the counter for 24 hours and it turns out perfect! I can then have my dessert coffee right before bed!
