A: It does have an on/off switch...it will not automatically turn on in the dark.

A: Not at all. It's got a very small night light bulb. We replaced it with an LED bulb bc my son never turns it off.

A: The color of the product is white. When the light switch is on it become an illuminated golden glowing globe projecting warm cozy celestial stars on all nearby surfaces. This is a beautiful item that may be meant for kids, but is very elegant too. I'm an adult who is not afraid of the dark but cannot resist the ambiance.

I bought this night light for my toddler boy hoping he would like it, and he didn’t! I think that he isn’t ready for a night light. It was a bit bright in his little room too. This nightlight is absolutely beautiful and surprisingly bigger and better quality than I originally thought it'd be. It came packaged well but the ceramic still ended up getting a small chip inside the star but it works well and still looks cute so it doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't project the star shapes far or light the whole room at night but gives a soft warm glow wherever it's placed. I love it and it exceeded my own expectations.
