It works better than expected. The light is soft, gentle and responsive. I would recommend others to buy this. It is a bit pricey for a backlit night light. However, there are not a lot of nightlights with these features on the market.

I was first exposed to this little light in a hotel. Loved it so much I bought 4 for myself! Love the soft glow feature when there is no motion, then how it SLOWLY brightens to give enough light when it detects movement. The max brightness is perfect for when you've been asleep and need to visit the bathroom--not too bright and throws enough light to keep you from bumping into anything.

I didn’t know I could be so obsessed with a nightlight. I use the nightowl mode that senses motion and increases the amount of light. It’s like magic. Just enough glow and increases to help see without disrupting. Beautiful warm light too. I want them everywhere and will absolutely be buying more. Photos don’t do it justice but show dormant mode and when motion is detected

The Casper nightlight is awesome! It has a nice backlit glow that doesn’t disturb your sleep, but with the motion sensor it increases the light if you move in range of the sensor so you can see to move about the room without tripping on something. If there is a lot of sunlight or lamps lighting up the room, the nightlight goes off. The best nightlight I’ve come across.

Only downside is It doesn’t seem to turn off when there’s natural light in the hallway next to it, perhaps is not enough light to sense it.

This nightlight is something I never thought I needed. Once I bought 2 and found them to be the best ever, I bought more! I have them all over the house and just love them. They are a dim diffused light but get brighter when it detects motion. Also, I never travel without a couple in my luggage. As most hotels/ABnB are so dark at night I plug in a couple to aide in nighttime navigation. I don’t know how I lived/traveled without them!
