This is a great light, We use several.

What I like most about this is the color temperature. The others that I've used had a cold, blue-tinged light, but this one has a slightly yellowish light, not as yellow as soft white, but definitely not blue. To me it seems comparable to 3500 K. The softer light will be much better for nightime outages than the overly bright light of the others I've used. Even at the low setting this would be too bright for me as a bedroom nightlight, but that's fine, because I only wanted it for the ability to automatically turn on if there's a power outage. It would be good to use as a nightlight in other rooms, like the kitchen or living room, for people who often get up during the night. Looks good on the wall, and leaves the lower outlet free to use for something else. I'm happy with the purchase.

I received the Energizer LED Power Failure Night Light, Auto On/Off, Euro, White, 6pc Tray for my independent and honest review. Having frequent power outages, it didn't take long to be able to test the power failure aspect of this night light. During outage, the light kicked right on just as stated to provide a very nice bright light in our main walkway for everyone to be able to join together. The outage lasted 1 hour before being restored to power. It provided the same intense bright light the entire time without dimming or changing. I'm certain it would have lasted longer, but haven’t been able to time or test a longer duration. I like the flashlight and ambient light functions. The fact that you can take the unit out of the wall and fold the outlet plug down flat is great. This allows you to carry it in your pocket, purse, bags, or just about anywhere easily. I also like that the nightlight aspect of it doesn't shine straight down but all around providing a full light in a 180-degree range. It's also surprisingly bright but not too bright that it's overpowering to "wake you up" in the middle of the night should you need to get up for a second then need to go back to bed. The con would be that I wish you could change out the batteries when the batteries become bad. My other lights are the same way and after 5 years they wouldn't hold a charge. I can’t change their batteries either, and you have to replace the whole unit. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend purchasing this power failure night light. It works extremely well, providing just the right amount of light, and I love that you can use it as a flashlight as well.

After buying a couple of these for areas around the house where we needed a little bit of light during the night I went back and bought another to keep in my suitcase. Any time we go out of town I always put one of these Night Lights in the bathroom. Who likes to have to turn on the bright overhead light in the bathroom during the night?!? Not me. This night light provides just the right amount of brightness so you can do your business and not wake the whole room. I love the night light’s design and how it turns off during the day for energy efficiency and there is a flash light option if necessary which makes the light versatile. We have several throughout our house and always with us when we are traveling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Energizer power fail night light works very well and is versatile. There are two brightness levels on the main panel light and one brightness on the focused flashlight. I did a test on the battery operation and the light stayed lit for about 6 hours on the low level panel light. The brightness went down a little as time went on but it did stay lit for almost 6 hours. The photocell function works well and has some hysteresis to prevent the light from turning on and off rapidly like some of the less expensive models do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This power failure light is pretty neat, when the lights are off it acts as a nightlight which comes in handy because it’s pitch black in our kitchen and I’m constantly having to get up with our toddler in the middle of the night, so I appreciate that. Knock on wood we haven’t lost power yet, so I’m not too sure on how it holds up when there’s no power. As for a nightlight, it’s super bright, so I wouldn’t use it in a hallway that would be facing a bedroom because if you’re sensitive to light, it could keep you up at night.

And it simply plugs back into the wall to charge back up. What a fantastic idea! Not only is it helpful at night, but my kids love using it as a flashlight and shining the wall. lol

It not only lights up when it’s plugged in to the wall but it can hold a charge in the event of a power outage. It can be a flashlight as well. The blades of the plug can be folded in when you use it as a flashlight. There’s also a low level and a high level for the light. What a well thought out product that I’m sure will come in handy during those pesky power outages.

It may be too bright for a bedroom if you’re sensitive to light. If the power goes out, we know we have this to rely on as it kicks over to using the batteries. We also love how we can use it just as a flashlight as needed. This is a very heat product and we got it for free in exchange for our honest review. It uses electricity until the power goes out or you unplug it to use a nightlight, then it uses batteries. It has a long battery life as well.
