Step2 My First Advent Calendar - 26pc

As others have stated it is a nightmare to put together. The black screws that are supposed to just push in with your thumb took a rubber mallet and some hard hits to actually get in. There are no pre drilled holes in the plastic so you have to either use brute force or make your own pilot holes. I got this at my local store on clearance for $20 but I would have been very upset if I paid full price. All that being said it’s adorable and my toddler is going to love it for years to come I’m sure.

Can’t wait for my children to use it for Christmas this year!!!

The littles loved this toy. I knew the goal would be to pull all of the drawers out onto the floor and that proved to be true. I filled the drawers with little people and animals. They fit perfectly.

A little hard to assemble, takes brute force and pressure. But it’s very cute and my toddler loves playing with it

Purchased and came damaged. Brought it back to the store and two more on the shelf were the same way. I was offered a $7 gift card for the damages and can’t find one that’s not. Not happy with this.

For the price, $70 I would expect the screw holes to line up with the screws for the back piece. I should not have to use oil or soap or try and hammer them in when they don't line up. rlReturning!

All of the numbers and decals are included on a sticker sheet and have to be applied manually. Also the screw holes need to be widened slightly to fit the included screws. Very difficult to press into place per the directions. The molded plastic also has some discoloration or internal scarring from the plastic mold. Overall, though, it comes together as a fun sturdy little toy calendar for young children to enjoy.

Loved the idea of using it every year. Smaller than it looks online. Drawers are nice but can only fit one wrapped Reese cup. Was hoping to put 2 toys in each drawer because I have 2 grandsons.

The most horrible quality of any product. incredibly hard to assemble. and low quality. i gave up half way through assembly. it is too expensive to be that bad 😞

Missing all of the screws

It is a very nice product but a real pain to put together. They need better directions. If you make a mistake, You are going to have a really hard time fixing it. Love the idea of being able to create our own fun around XMAS instead of counting on others to create an overpriced Advent Calendar.

This is a very nice advent calendar. It is a nightmare to assemble. It requires a 7/32 drill bit to make holes bigger for the back portion. For the top portion there is no holes or divots for the screw to go into.

Good concept, build quality is terrible. The plastic pieces were so warped that they would not fit together correctly. Broke 3 of the fasteners that were supposed to be able to be fit by pushing with only your thumb. Would not recommend.

Unique item built well. Pay attention to exact placement when putting it together. Difficult to disassemble

This is a nice advent calendar. It was a bit tricky getting the push screws in. Other than that, the grands are so excited for December 1st!

Assembly unnecessary difficult. The pin are holding the back definitely require a hammer, but be careful putting the dividers in as they can snap in the wrong way and are extremely difficult to get it back out again and fix. I don’t know why they didn’t just make the pieces symmetrical so they could go either way or make them obviously different so that it’s easier to get them the right way.

So excited about this! I love the size of the individual compartments and can’t wait to fill them for Christmas. I know I’ll get years out of this!

My 4year old grandson enjoys Advent Calendars. When he got this for Christmas his eyes lit up. He was so excited as he realized this is one he will use during the next holiday season. I plan on brainstorming with his mother on “tickets” she can place in each drawer such as “trip to the zoo with grandma”; “pick out a book at the book store”; etc.

This One Step Advent Calendar is a really great “toy” or advent calendar, however, the assembly for the Advent Calendar is so very, very difficult and quite aggravating to say the least!! First of all, the so-called “push-in” screws (they are made of plastic) do not go into the base of the Advent Calendar without a hammer and some really, really hard hammering! Unfortunately one of the plastic screws actually got bent and then broke so I had to just hammer in the screw without its smooth head. Secondly, there are no pre drilled holes for the real screws that secure the top piece. You have to make the holes yourself. Lastly, the stickers for the Advent Calendar were crumbled resulting in one (number 19) that went missing (I finally found it on a wrapped gift lol). Still now I know what to expect and once it was fully assembled it really was amazing. I bought a box of about 25 toy nativity pieces to go into each of the bins!
