VTech My First Motorized Train Set

We got this train for my 2 year old for Christmas and he has played with it every single day since! It’s pretty easy to put together, it comes with a guide showing several different layouts of the track so you can switch it up. The battery life is actually pretty good, we will leave it running for long periods of time and have changed the batteries maybe 2 times since getting it. It has cute sayings and different modes to play with. Overall super happy with the purchase!

My 2 year old just opened this for his birthday and half the stuff is missing from it. No train and the stickers have been crumbled like someone returned it and kept half the stuff.

My Son Loves This Train Set

My daughter is 14 months and loves it! She plays and interacts with lots of the pieces and there is still more for her to learn to play with as she goes! Super easy to put together and take apart - I have no idea how people are saying it’s difficult? Simple, great details, endless fun and full of surprises for children and adults! I wish I had room to leave it out all the time.. absolutely worth the $40! If you’re on the fence at all, this is your sign BUY IT!!! You will not be disappointed :) the video/photo I’m posting are from her first time using it. She has discovered the play opportunities of the Tran station part since then and has found more to do with it than just watch it (still very enjoyable) and play Godzilla 😂. Just trust me on this one. No regrets!! And I think $40 is a very reasonable price for this much interaction! Keep in mind, my daughter and I are both very laid back people - so if your child has an over abundance of energy they may feel differently than we do! But we love it!!

I don't write reviews often but wanted other parents/grandparents to know that this is such a great toy for toddlers. Bought it for our 3 year old grandson and he enjoys it so much. It so well made, perfect size and has different options to keep them entertained for hours. Also easy to assemble and has beautiful colors. The best toy we have bought for him. Highly recommended.

It comes with 16 feet of track to build along with a station, a farm, a water tower, a bridge, a railroad crossing, a tunnel and of course the train! This is such a cool toy as the train goes by itself, which amazes my boys as well as the awesome rainbow colors! I as the mom enjoy how easy this was to assemble! Such a fun toy train set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy I was able to get this because not only is it educational but my son loves playing with this train set! I love how it’s interactive and makes music or fun train sounds. This helps develops a child imagination. I think the toy is very light and easy to store. Not only that, I love that it has some lights to it — the train specifically. As for the battery, I believe I had to put regular batteries which I wish I can be rechargeable but besides that, it’s a really great give to give anyone! Especially kids 1+ who loves trains!

It takes a bit to put it together (it’s actually not that intuitive, we had to look at the picture to set it up correctly - my picture is my kids that tried to do it again and they couldn’t fit some pieces), but when it’s all set up it’s super fun! The train pulls 2 wagons and goes around, up and down the bridge, makes sounds and says things like “train starts with T”. It has some “stations” such as the water stop, a tunnel, the main station, all add so much fun! It was originally for my 1.5 years old, but my 3.5 yo is having fun with it too! Note: we had issues with the train itself that stops functioning after a few hours. I reached out to Vtech that made it right right away - thus my 5 stars review anyway! It’s a super fun toy - it does take a lot of space but we knew that getting it. I’ll definitely recommend it!

The instruction were a little weird so I went with the image on the box and color coordinate. The tracts and part was easy to assemble. I was a little worried when it said 16 ft but with all the turns its not as big. It very sturdy as well. I did find taking it apart more difficult but thats great for toddler. I do like as well there is only 1 small piece and thats the water tower can. Everything else is huge pieces. Overall my 1 year old and 5 year absolutely love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first smart train that I have ever seen for a kid and I think its so clever and entertaining. The train stop and goes on its own when at the station or when faced with an obstacle. This kids love this train because they can build different tracks and also adjust the track the train will go on while it is moving. The train station is fun and they also enjoys the sounds and lights. This is a perfect first train for my 3 year old and I would recommend this to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely adorable train set. It is pretty darn good quality and I think it will last as long as we watch my son while he plays with it. He is only 18 months old and right now he needs help to work it but as he grows I think he will get the hang of it. For now he is mesmerized and the tries to tear it apart. I am not sure about maintenance but honestly the only real problem is it is a pain to put together and it definitely requires parent help to set up. It also has a large footprint so leaving it set up all the time probably won’t happen, which makes me wonder how often he will be able to get it set up once we tear it down. It does have a ton of configurations which is cool, including a compact one but it doesn’t include all the features. I do wish there were maybe a couple more train cars though. Overall it is a great toy and I would recommend

The train started shorting out within the first two minutes so I put new batteries in and now it won’t come on at all. I called VTech because they claim to stand behind their products and I was hoping they could just send me a new train so that I didn’t have to completely take the entire set apart and return it to the store but they told me to just take the whole thing back and let target deal with it.

My toddler loves this train set! Hopefully they sell extra train tracks soon as it would be fun to make a larger train track!
