Highly recommend. It is good for fibromyalgia pain but I use it to minimize another pain I have. I take half of one tiny spoon, provided, every 8 hours, in water or juice, That is 2.5grams ... or 7.5grams per day.

I’ve been using Swanson’s D-Ribose for over 5 years now - started taking it after developing extreme muscle weakness due to hyperthyroidism. It was like a miracle, within weeks it gave me back my energy - the few times I stopped taking the d-ribose I had a noticeable fatigue in my muscles. Recently recommended this to a friend with fibromyalgia and she was amazed how this helped improve her energy levels.
The Ribose certainly came to the rescue for me at a time of need. Luckily I still had some on hand

Ribose is often used in athletic performance for more rapid muscular recovery. I am now taking it for borderline congestive heart failure after I discovered that my BNP, Brain Naturetic Peptide, level was above the normal 100pg/ml . It becomes elevated with stretching and/or overload of the cardiac musculature. Before taking Ribose my BNP on May 12th was 368; I started taking 2gm per day. On May 19th my BNP was 339; on june 9th it was 249. I have not had occasion for measurement since. Dr. John R. Boname

Only thing I noticed is some increase in insomnia when taking it with supper. Also wondering if it had anything to do with some GI distress I had at the time. (May have been due to a different enzyme I was taking then.)

On low energy days I take this product to give me that extra boost... Also, take it when I need that extra zip before my workout. I do not want to be without it!

Works great for helping with high blood sugar. Our chiropractor also recommends ribose for our things, too. Even though it tastes sweet, it DOES NOT raise blood sugar.
