I didn't read the label closely enough but someone with kidney issues should not be ingesting too much Potassium. For some strange reason, this kidney formulais loaded with Potassium!

I am a breast cancer conqueror! My regimen was tamoxifen citrate 20mg once daily for 5 years. It's basically a low dose pill form of chemo as I understand. I hated having to take a drug, and for 5 years, but you just don't take chances with cancer! I 'blessed' it every day before I took it as I would 'bless' my healthy meals. But at the end of the 5 years when I could get off of it and was also declared breast cancer-free, I had an erratic kidney result on my labs from my annual physical. Two other things were out of whack that had been in normal range prior to getting off tamoxifen. I googled this and found that other women were reporting 'out of range' results as well. So, being a Swanson customer already I looked to see what kidney supplements they offered and began taking this. I didn't worry about getting tested again right away since I eat very healthy and I knew these things probably needed time to come back into range. Five years on a chemo drug, my bod was probably just detoxing and it just needed time. Sure enough the next year my labs came back and my kidney function was moving in the right direction from the previous year. I was very grateful. I was 58 at the time, and had conquered breast cancer, and my health was improving, not declining with age!.....even having been on a cancer drug! : - ) Swanson is definitely my first go-to when something in my physical or labs show up and I need help tweaking my diet and/or supplementation. I feel like I can keep ahead of things, and that is a good feeling to have. Getting older doesn't have to be about decline!

This is an excellent foundation supplement for kidney health. It goes very well for that same purpose with Country Life P-5-P (Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate) for sale here at Swanson. I can't say here what the reasons for this are so research it on the Internet and use BOTH! You'll be so glad you did for the rest of your life!! Remember to live the healthiest lifestyle you can as supplements only supplement what you do.

It is most important to protect our kidneys' health! I donated my kidney years ago and feel that Kidney Essentials is wonderful for protecting the kidney I have left and keeping me healthy! Absolutely recommend!

Before I took Kidney Essentials I would be up at least three times a night going to the bathroom. I can sleep the entire night without having to get up. I'm thankful for the low price because I would buy this if it was costly for a good nights sleep.
