Swanson L-Carnitine Tablets, 500 mg, 100 Count

I take this for stress based on my blood type. It is very effective and beneficial for me.

This product is valuable for a variety of health concerns, and the price point is excellent.

Look I love Swanson Vitamins and have never written a poor review before -- but these are a horrible waste of money due to the moisture absorption issue. I've thrown away multiple bottles due to the issue -- bought again stupidly thinking it was a 1 time thing. Yes, it mentions moisture absorption possibility on the bottle -- but I do/did keep the bottle tightly closed!! The large tablets turn into a combo of chalky/pasty/disintegrating/mushy wet mess -- and when the coating is no longer smooth, they are impossible to swallow (even if you wanted to). I'm honestly uncertain why Swanson even produces this product in this form - as clearly this is ongoing issue almost guaranteed to happen just from any moisture in the air once opened. Get their Acetyl L-Carnitine instead - which doesn't have this issue,

Been using these Tablets over 15 yrs from Swanson. After being diagnosed, age 60+, with Vitamins B & D Malabsorption Congenital disease, resulting in a lifetime suffering from the many conditions caused by Vit B, also Vit D's lack & deficiency in me, I began taking high doses of Vit B, & D, then researched to find out Vit B is actually Amino Acid...all of the approximate 29 aminos which Protein is, which is what Vit. B is...that I could also put higher amounts of particular Aminos in my diet that are specifically known to contribute to our health & body/brain functions in certain ways. L-Carnitine is one of these Amino Acids that will help our body PROCESS FAT, that my Pre-Diabetes body has too much of...because I don't have enough Vit B/Carnitine working in it...because of the congenital Deficiency! So, L-Arginine, L-Carnitine, Taurine, Creatine; many aminos like these are vital to help 'PUSH' my body out of the failures that deficiencies cause. I understand that L-Carnitine is a Hygroscopic, Humidity-absorbant amino, that the slight coating put on th Tabs won't last long if left out in the 'air' or if air gets into the bottle. So I don't open it long, keep tightly capped, plenty of those Humidity-Eater thingees in th bottle, and if the Tabs (I use 2 a day or more)do get soggy, they are TASTELESS, SO I CAN EAT THEM ANYWAY or in my food! If you have unwanted belly fat or thighs, arms...or elsewhere, L-Carnitine by Swanson will give you a GREAT START TO DIETARY FAT-MELTING! Read up on dietary Fat-Melters & Energy- Boosters...check out many Weight Loss products; you may find L-Carnitine on Ingrediant List of many, so you are just doing what Dietitians have formulated weightloss products to do, but less expensive way, and NO CAFFEINE/SPEED ingrediants! Since Carnitine isn't a 'stimulant', you can take your doses at any time of day or night. I like ot take 1 before Bedtime to help make Sleep more functional & during sleep, the body&brain can get things done better without the activities of Daytime interfering with the Amino's fatmelting. Best of luck to you & hope you'll research Amino Acids for the exact work that each Amino is known to do for us, to build the best Amino/Protein/Vit. B dietary/supplements that your body&brain need you to help them with!

This L-Carnitine works well with my workouts but I can’t put them in my pill container. They collect moisture and crumble. I leave them in the jar with the cotton and use them as needed. I find it helpful to change the cotton occasionally. They do work. They are just a little inconvenient. They are in tablet form to. I think next time I’ll look for capsules.

No matter how you store them the tablets breakdown to dust had to be thrown away after two weeks

Once I put the tablets in my 7-day pill container (one per day), each day I try to take it out of the container, the whole tablet breaks up and is soft. This might be just one bad bottle - this is my first purchased bottle.

I feel it does what it supposed to, but as another reviewer stated, if you sort and fill a daily pill pack for the week these may start to dissolve. So I only fill for 3 days. I’m sure the coating is as it should be and timed to dissolve in our bodies at a specific “stage”, but just annoying when you want to fill pill pack a week in advance.

I don't like them because they crumble as get moist quickly and are too large. Unfortunately they are much cheaper than Jarrow which I greatly prefer.

I take 23 supplement pills twice a day, so I need to set them up a week at a time. I tried this L-Carnitene when I couldn't get my usual product (from another supplier). Unfortunately, it degrades when out of the bottle, basically disintegrating in my dosage containers. The dosage worked as my usual capsule does, but I won't be purchasing this product again.

Shortly after the tabs are removed from the bottle, they begin to dissolve. If you prepare your supplements ahead of time in a tray or container, do not use this product.

I did not like them I saw no difference pill size was an issue as well

I like this product and make it an everyday go to pill.

I have taken this product for over a month now and it seems helpful for my body type and diet.

I think it works I can’t exercise because of other issues so I can tell that I’m retaining some muscle

This brand of L-Carnitine has proven to be effective and helpful with my fitness program.

The only thing harder to swallow than these tablets is your pride.

I take this daily----I am a senior male and try to keep alert and energetic. L-Carnitine is one of the daily vites I take to help .

This product has worked so well for me, and the price cannot be beat.
