So super cool! It's light and fun to watch. Love the settings where it's noise activitied yet it's quiet on its own. No assembly needed, just plug in and enjoy.

The plasma ball is such a fun science experiment with my kids! It’s lightweight and very easy to operate with a single switch to switch modes. You can hear the electricity and my kids had fun touching it. The voice sensor is very accurate. If you have kids that love science, I totally recommend this!

This is a really cool and interactive toy that can sit on a table or desk or be mounted on a wall. It doesn’t take up a lot of space but is just the right size to really see what’s happening inside. The light is vibrant and strong and the way it interacts with music is interesting—you have to be very targeted about the sound. It’s easy to power on (if using a plug you just need to have a brick) and seems safe and durable. I wouldn’t recommend for very young kids but older ones who understand how to handle carefully would have fun with this. Overall really engaging!

This is a perfect gift for the kids. It’s like a small version of a plasma ball that we find in the children museum. My kid love it she show it to her friends like a trophy and her friends where ever visited want to ask he that they can touch it. It’s very light weight but I will say fragile coz the ball made of glass. Earlier I thought it only work with batteries but you can plug it and hang it it works perfectly

This is nostalgia and cool all in one! I have been playing with this toy like a kid with my kid for days! It has a music mode so that it can dance around to sounds and then it has the normal touch and on mode. I love that it can be plugged in or battery operated as well as the fact that I can basically carry it around anywhere or hang it on the wall. It doesn't give off that weird static electricity feeling that the giant ones at the science museums give so there's zero discomfort and I feel 100% comfortable letting my kids run around with this toy!

I originally planned this to be a gift for my daughter, but my husband took one look at it and decided he needed it for himself! He placed it above his desk and loves it!!! It is super simple to set up, can be plugged in a USB on your computer or can be plugged into a socket or outlet. It either respond to touch or to sound, both work equally as well. It is super fun and I’m sure he AND my daughter will get lots of entertainment from it!

Cool overall! Like that it can hang on the wall, run on battery, or be plugged in. Especially liked that it can be set to react to movement and sound. The power isn’t super strong though.

This plasma ball is so much fun! It looks so cool during the night! The glowing light show is mesmerizing, especially when you touch the glass. Such a fun and unique piece to have around. Love it!

The ball has a nice compact footprint and can be used on battery power or connected via USB-C. The plasma ball can be seen better and works better in darkness. The smooth glass ball seems high quality and the white base makes it easy to match in the house.

The concept is cool and my kids were excited to interact with the plasma ball. What’s even better is that they were eager to learn about what was happening and why it happens! The 4-star rating is based on the functionality of the music setting. I think in order to create a response from the plasma ball, the volume of the music or sound has to be significantly elevated.

Overall it works as expected, I just wish it had more ways to hang it on a wall. For an inexpensive plasma ball for kids, it's perfect and keeps them curious while not being super noisy.

It's a cool product. I can't really call it a toy, which I assumed it was before picking this product. But it's actually a demonstrative device that you can use for STEM science experiments. The size is nice and the product works, but the setup was a headache because you'll need (4) AAA batteries and a very teeny tiny Phillips head screwdriver (which I didn't have so I had to use the end of a Bobby pin) to get the battery back to open.

The Thames and Kosmos Plasma Ball has been tons of fun for everyone in our family. It was a breeze to unbox and set up. It’s so much fun to watch the plasma move with your fingertips. It features an option to either use batteries or plug into an outlet. It also comes with mounting hardware in case you’d like to mount it on your wall. I love that the base is white and the perfect size to mount and blend in well with our wall. I feel comfortable knowing that it’s safe and fun to use for everyone in our family. It’s very responsive and grants immediate entertainment! We highly recommend!

Pretty cool “toy” or room decor that really illustrates how electricity responds to sounds and touch. Runs on batteries or usb so could put it anywhere to display in a room.

This Thames & Kosmos plasma ball is my kids favorite educational novelty. The light display is very colorful, bright, and definitely eye catching. The plasma ball responds well to touch and sound. The plasma ball was also really easy to assemble, it pretty much worked straight out of the box.

My mom, my son and I all love this plasma ball! We take turns playfully mg with it and I love the music mode!! It is quiet and it is durable and lightweight all at the same time and can be plugged in or usb plug in.

The Thames and Kosmos Plasma Ball is a fun little science gadget that instantly grabs kids attention. The best part is watching the colorful streams electricity follow your fingertips. It also has a noise activated mode, which is a neat feature. Clapping talking or making noises causes the plasma to dance and change making it feel a little like magic. It’s a great way to talk about electricity and how it works and it’s entertaining right out of the box. That said it’s not a very long lasting activity. My kids were fascinated for the first 15 to 20 minutes, but then moved onto something else. It’s a fun desk accessory just don’t expect it to keep kids occupied for an extended period.

The plasma ball was very easy to use. It came assembled. It has an AC adapter or uses batteries. It can be used on any surface other than metal. It is very cool & my 12 year old has enjoyed it immensely!

This plasma ball works much better than another brand I had. We use these as Halloween decorations. The ball lights up with either sounds or touch. All you have to do is plug it in!
