Great educational project
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Building the solarbots was super fun , the directions are very clear which made it simple to put together . Without realizing it while I'm putting it together you learn. A lot about gears and how they work also. With helios other vehicles you build it makes for endless fun on a great sunny day . I will say however if it's a overcast day or just normal PNW Oregon weather helio is a bit down in the dumps and don't wanna do much robotercises😉. But all in all super great project toy .

So much fun being a Cosmic Explorer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was so much fun to assemble. Just make sure that you have a pair of toenail clippers or scissors to remove all the burrs or the wheels will not properly turn. It can be time consuming to find all of the little parts, but it will keep you little ones busy for hours. Each creation is super cute, helps children (and adults) learn how to follow instructions, and have fun with STEM concepts. Who doesn't love building robots?!?!? I love it.

An exciting, hands-on kit with a “solar” twist!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thames & Kosmos SolarBots: Cosmic Explorers is a really fun and educational kit! My 10-year old son built himself and was fully engaged the whole time. The parts will sturdy and well made - nothing broke or came loose during assembly. The solar-powered mechanism is especially cool and a great way to introduce kids to basing engineering and renewable energy. Definitely a great mix of learning and play!

Simple, educational, and genuinely entertaining.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This STEM kit is so much fun! The pieces snapped together easily, and I was surprised by how well the solar-powered movement worked. My kids loved watching the bots crawl and spin in the sunlight – it turned into a "science afternoon" without me even planning it. Simple, educational, and genuinely entertaining.

Building the robot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup is very hard I can barely see the numbers The value of it is kind of cheap and fragile The appearance is cool though The materials are not what I expected and the sound that's not even working what sound it didn't work

Fun to build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy turned out to be interesting to assemble for my 11 years old son. He really enjoyed the building process because the were many small parts and it kept him engaged. However, after finishing the assembly, the excitement faded a bit.

Really fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old son had a great time building this! We spent a lovely afternoon building this together. He was able to do most everything by himself. I did have to contact the company because the robot wasn't working. They were super quick and helpful with responding and sent me replacement parts quickly. I would definitely get other kits from them in the future!

They were able to connect the pieces together and it was accurate. The toy is a decent size. It brought out their creative and experimental side and my kids felt a level of accomplishment after putting it together.

Fun & Challenging
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun and challenging for my 8 year old to put together. He loves puzzles and building things so this was a perfect set to keep him occupied. I did help him a bit because the directions are bit hard to understand. Minus one star because we couldn’t get Helio to charge under a lamp. Will try when it’s sunny outside!

My son love this solar toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this SolarBots kit for my son and honestly we both like it a lot. It’s not just toy but also learning things, which is nice, my son was very excited to build it,even need some help from me but still fun together. The best part is run by sunlight, no battery needed. When we pit it under light, the robot start moving and my son was like ‘ Woww’ it can be build different models too so not boring. The plastic feel pretty good not cheap feeling, color is brights and cute so kids will like it. Only thing is some parts little small so younger kids need adult help. I think this is really fun and good Stem toy good for kids to learn and play at same time. I would recommend !!

Pretty cool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the opportunity to try out and review this solar bot cosmic explorers by Thames and Kosmos and my little one really likes it. I had never seen a toy that works with a solar panel so its pretty cool. I just wish it had less pieces, it was a lot of small pieces to build it.

Don't waste your money or time on this one!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could give this no stars i would. This Toy states age 6+ with help. This is not for a 6 year old, the pieces are dangerously sharp. No tools come with it to cut the pieces out & they are incredibly difficult to pop out. I have multiple cuts on my hands & fingers due to the plastic being so sharp. I didn't want to give up, my son really wanted to see it work. I built all the pieces, I didn't want him to do it incase he cut his fingers too. After getting through 32 pages of instructions & assembling correctly, the robot does not work. We are not lacking sunshine in Florida, so a cloudy day was not the issue. Do not recommend this toy at all, it's cheap, dangerously sharp & does not work.

Bug Bot Buddy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves all things robots. I thought he would love this project and he did, at first. He's 7 yo and according to the box, he could conquer this with some help. However, I ended doing most of it with the help of my husband. We had to pull the main body apart a few times and leave a piece off or the gears wouldn't turn. With a little trial and error though we got it working! It's very cute and works completely off sunlight which is nice. It was smaller then we thought but it is called a bug bot. It's small, lightweight, and he keeps it in his cupholder on drives. For the price, I'd say it's worth it!
