Traditional boxsprings are excellent for supporting innerspring mattresses, but do not provide a sufficient surface area of support for foam. Even a very high-quality boxspring can present issues and discomfort since foam needs as much firm, direct support as possible! There is no need for a box spring if you have a platform or wooden slatted bed frame provided the spaces between the slats are 4 inches or less! If your bed frame requires a box spring, we have designed our own version called the Foundation! It’s easy to assemble and reassemble (no tools required) plus it fits perfectly on any standard bed frame.
