Some really cool experiments but you are required to have a lot of things on hand already. It was disappointing to open an experiment with my kiddo who was excited only to realize I didn’t have distilled water to actually do it.

My son is 12yrs old and loves this advent calendar over the little chocolate ones we have done in years past. Though it does require a lot of extra supplies they are things found in home, such as baking soda, vinegar, cups, teaspoons, etc. I love the booklet that come with calendar explains the whys of the experiments and what’s going on. I would buy again.

Not everything is included!
My daughter started this early because she won’t be home every day of December. So far the experiments are interesting, but disappointingly don’t include all the things needed. The first one needed baking powder and food coloring (easy to include!!)… Hopefully we’ll be able to figure the rest of them out, but I wasn’t expecting to have to do a scavenger hunt for each day.
