Book Synopsis
From the acclaimed team of Dean Robbins and Sean Rubin comes a unique story about a little girl and the genius who lived next door -- Albert Einstein!
On Mercer Street, two neighbors studied math.
Adelaide Delong tried to multiply three times four.
Albert Einstein tried to understand how numbers could explain everything in the universe.
When Adelaide gets a new neighbor, she is fascinated by this so-called mathematical genius. His hair was wild. His clothes were baggy. And he never wore socks!
But everyone said that Albert Einstein was the smartest person in the world. That gives Adelaide an idea! With a plate of fudge in her hands, she built up the courage to knock on Albert's door and ask him for help with her math homework.
What follows is a delightful and heartwarming story about Albert Einstein and how he taught Adelaide to love math as much as he did!
Dean Robbins and Sean Rubin are the creators of the acclaimed book The Astronaut Who Painted the Moon. The Genius Next Door gives readers a unique peek into the life of one of the most important mathematical minds of the 20th century!
Back matter includes a timeline, a map of Einstein's Princeton, important terms, and more!
