As Ottawa Major Crimes Unit investigator Jack Smith reassembles Ritchie's life, he is surprised by how much it differs from the fledgling star's clean-cut image. Nick Wilkshire is a lawyer originally from St. John's, Newfoundland. He is a graduate of Memorial University and Osgoode Hall Law School. Thin Ice is his third novel and the first featuring Ottawa detective Jack Smith. He lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with his wife and three children.
