Q: I need to know how deep the spider or other bulb attaching thing is in the shade. My lampshade needs to be at least 8 inches above the bulb itself, so the spider has to be fairly deep into the shade.
A: The small size shade is 7 inch height with a slip UNO fitter 4.5 inch deep from top to UNO. The large size shade is 10 inch height with a slip UNO fitter 7 inch deep from top to UNO.

Q: When I type in the item-number (074 08 0690) this is the lamp shade that comes up (I'm trying to match one I just boughT). The package on mine says the color is "off white" but the description here says "shell". Are these the same color?

Q: What does the word "shell" in the description mean?

Q: What diameter socket does this fit over?
A: The shade has a UNO fitter diameter 32mm that could fit the socket under diameter 31.5mm.

Q: Does this shade clip on to the light bulb? I bought a shade today at Target that connects with the base and is held on when you screw in the light bulb. That is causing the light bulb to not work.

Q: How do I stabilize the shade, to keep it from constantly tilting this way and that way when I put my hand under the shade to turn the the light on and off?
