Timberland Junior Mt. Maddsen Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I think of rain or going downtown after a rain, I am reaching for my hikers. I do not tolerate wet feet very well. My sole motivation for getting these boots was the fact that they are waterproof. But, the first time I wore them, I received a nice compliment about how nice they looked!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little disappointed they are not waterproof I was walking around in the rain I felt like my socks were wet. When I got to my house took out the boots yep they were wet.

Okay, so when I got these boots, I was super excited about them. I have had a pair of Timberland boots since high school that have served me well, and these looked just as good as those ever did. I took them out for a backpacking trip: 11 miles in and 11 miles out. Okay... that was too much for their first trip, but the aftermath was horrible! It took about 3 weeks for my ankles to recover. The padding is so thick around the ankles that it actually caused Achilles Tendonitis from the lack of flexibility and stiffness. Once my ankles were back to normal, I tried them again. This time, I made sure to keep the boots loose, since I really wanted these boots to work for me. But, only about 5 minutes into the trail (no elevation) I had to swap them for the sandals I had along with me, because the pain had returned just by wearing the boots. The only solution I can see is tossing these. Better luck with another boot. The boots are great, but they've got one serious Achilles heel.

I wear them not as much as I used to but it's an awesome shoe. I love it. That's why I bought these the darker ones and they are just really nice. They're their lightweight. They're comfortable their waterproof. I've already put them to the test And it held up excellent and I would buy the shoe time and time again. I mean they last so long.

I ONLY buy this style in Women's as they fit all of my needs: comfort, waterproof, leather tongue and very little non-leather material except around the ankle which make it SO easy to keep clean and completely waterproof up to the top of the lower set of laces. You can literally walk into marsh or a shallower stream. Can also use such a stream to clean mud/sand off. I MISS them.

I love them until about 9 month in, and I need to replace them due to the tread and the insole being worn too much, but I stretch them for a full year. I also wear them when riding my motorcycle. I love the looks of them, and how light weight they are.

They're comfortable, have good grip, and they make a big and wide enough boot that fits well. They look great as well, highly recommend. #sweepstakes

I like the comfortability of the shoe and the flexible support, but I usually wear a size 6.5-7 women's so i bought a size 5.5 kids and they fit like a size 9 women's shoe. I tried lacing them up thinking that would help, but my foot kept sliding around, which is not ideal for hiking. I am going to return them and get the proper size, it just sucks because of the inconvenience. Especially with the closest store being almost an hour an a half away.

Incredible boots... I bought a pair to travel a month in several countries in Europe, I used them every day, I walked a lot, I climbed the Swiss Alps, even on rainy days, and my feet were always dry and warm. They are warm, very comfortable, light, and super resistant. Plus they look great. My wife also bought a pair of Timberland Mt. Maddsen waterproof, and they fit her great. Totally recommended!

I could never find boots my size when I seen these I was surprised at how light there were and perfect for my job. I'm a security officer and needed some good shoes for the winter time. Probably wear them all the time.
