A traditional cedar beehive built for the beekeeper who prefers simplicity and time-tested design. This three-box kit includes two deep brood boxes and one medium super box, all crafted from solid fir (cedarwood) with a natural, unfinished surface. There are no windows, no plastic observation panels—just solid wood that does the job season after season. The deep boxes serve as the brood chamber where the queen lays and the colony raises young bees, while the medium box is sized for honey storage that is lighter to lift when full.The boxes arrive unassembled, with pre-cut dovetail joints and pre-drilled holes. A hammer and a little wood glue are all you need to put them together, and the dovetails lock tight without staples or screws. Because the wood is left unfinished, you control what goes on the hive. Many beekeepers choose to coat the exterior with beeswax or linseed oil for added weather protection, while leaving the interior bare for the bees to coat with propolis. Frames, foundations, and other hive components are not included, giving you the flexibility to choose the comb style and accessories that fit your beekeeping method.The hive follows standard Langstroth dimensions, so it integrates with existing apiary equipment.
