It’s is cool when you first get in bed. I don’t find it any cooler than my previous mattress cover. I also find it to be make a lot of noise. I didn’t return it but I also wouldn’t recommend it.

Not Cool
I wash hoping this would truly be a cool touch mattress protector. I took a photo of the temperature of the mattress cover and then another one 15 seconds after placing my hand on the bed. It heated up right away with 10 degree difference 73.4 to 83.3. I will return this item.

May protect SOME of the mattress
This is not a true encasement; rather more of a mattress topper. If I had known I would seek another option, that fully covers the entire mattress. I will use it for now, but I'll likely look at something else in the near future
