Q: Does the dust mite and allergen protection extend around the *entire* mattress? The photos of this product (from other websites) show only a *top* layer of an allergen/waterproof barrier attached below to a plush top layer.

A: Hi MK, the AllerEase Ultimate Mattress Protector fully encases your mattress to prevent dust mites and allergens from coming in contact with your mattress. Additionally, it ensures that bed bugs cannot enter or exit your mattress. The waterproof protection is exclusive to the soft, top layer of the protector but does not extend to the sidewalls. A: Absolutely not true. what kind of “brand expert” is that?! I am by cooking on this. I sweat like crazy even when its cold and I am usually cold for no reason. Hopefully i can find a solution

A: If its the one with a zipper I couldn't use it on my California King Bedding. It was too difficult for me to put it on by my self.

I love how thin it is, and easy to put on my mattress. It slips on like a sleeping bag, and protects my mattress from all angles. As someone with children, I'm constantly worried about accidents, when my kids crawl in bed with me. This protector has put my mind at ease. I'm also very impressed with the fact that I no longer have to worry about breathing "clean" at night. It's always been a concern for me, given our mattress itself has never been washed. With this protector, I know my sheets are now truly clean when I put them on my bed. The comfort is great as well. We live in the desert, so the temperature regulating is incredible. I'd highly recommend this product 🙂. I received this product free for testing purposes through Influenster, but my review is honest and true.

We also have a cat, so we do want to protect against cat dander. This mattress protector is advertised as being waterproof, and allergen and bed bug resistant. The mattress protector is made of a very strong material, I can feel the waterproof later. I even tried scratching it, it didn’t tear. The mattress protector fits mattresses that are up to 17” deep, which is what ours is, it was a snug fit. The only reason I’m taking off a point is because putting it on the bed was very difficult. I got a little disoriented with the direction it’s supposed to go after putting it in the wash. Our mattress is a queen size and quite heavy, you will definitely need 2 people if you don’t want to struggle. The protector features a hidden zipper, the zipper is only on half the mattress so you don’t have to zip all the way around (although I wonder if it zipped all the way around if it would make it easier). I like that the mattress protector is temperature balancing, is machine and dryer safe, and has a lifetime warranty. This is a great option if you don’t have to wash the mattress protector often.

It works like waterproof. And it is like an envelope, you need 2 people to put on the bed. It was the real size of my queen bed.

If the mattress were any thicker I may have had some issues getting it on. The zipper does catch on some of the excess plasticky part left over from stitching, but if you tuck it in while zipping it's pretty easy. Zipper doesn't seem made all that well. Hopefully it holds up! Haven't washed yet. I'm assuming I won't be able to put it in the dryer which is what's recommended for dust mite prevention.

It fits just a tad big but that's okay, easier to out it on. Its super soft and allows the body to not sweat so it's breathable and lightweight. I live that the top is made of cotton its so soft! This has helped reduce vacuuming her mattress 2x a month , and as you can see her kitty sleeps woth her and the fact it doesn't allow pet hair to settle is a bigger bonus. Its machine washable which i love cause monthly washes are in order. It feels super durable and isn't easily ripped like those cheap plasticy ones. I would highly reccomend this protector to protect and keep your matress clean! It also keeps your body cool here in AZ that's a bonus! No feeling sticky and hot and gross. I'll be looking into another one for my son.

The downside is how difficult it was to get on the mattress and the memory foam mattress takes longer to poof back up when the cover is on. It held up to multiple washings and would be a great addition to a mattress if you have a fear of bed bugs or maybe using a second hand mattress.

I love it because it protects my daughter’s bed since I bought her a very nice mattress and now I have confidence I will be able to keep that mattress nice because of this cover. It is waterproof it has temperature balancing so she won’t get hot in the night. It also has cotton comfort so it doesn’t sound like she’s rolling around on a plastic bag like I have seen some bed protectors. I love this it feels soft too I bought them for every bed in the house. Because you never know when someone might have an accident or spill something it’s nice to know your mattress is saved and it’s washable.

The top of the encasement has cotton fabric layered over the protective fabric. And lined on the inside with waterproof material, has a nice snug fit provided by elastic strip inserts sewn into the corners , and has a tucked in zipper so no gaps to keep the bed bugs away . The corners have elastic to keep it snug and it fits deep mattresses well. So it will not be slide around during the night. It’s really waterproof and fits my mattress great. I washed and dried it at low temperature without issue. It didn’t melt and didn’t rip . I like its hypoallergenic barrier effectively protects against dust mites, pollen, and pet dander, making it ideal for allergy sufferers like me. I am extremely happy with it. Highly recommend and I will bigger size for family use.
