Q: is this a plastic material ?? because I recently purchased something similar and it was a plastic cover and I disliked it. I want a mattress protector that zips and it's fabric or similar.

A: The packaging should say what size it is. But the one I ordered (supposedly a twin) also does NOT have the size listed anywhere on the package.

This was purchased for a guest room full size mattress. The mattress is thin — not a pillow top at all. It’s about 5” thick. This mattress cover is multiple inches too small. The mattress slides in like a sleeping bag. It’s over 6” too short top and bottom to be able to even get to the zipper— and that doesn’t include the width on e over the top/bottom to meet and zip. This is a huge was of time (and money). Especially with the craziness of the holidays.

This is not fabric. It is a plastic cloth. The zipper can be hard to zipper up. This product is definitely not waterproof. My son peed the bed and it went thru 2 sheets, a mattress pad, 2 mattress protectors, and finally this plastic bed protector.

This could be a good product, but the zipper is flimsy at best. We struggled to get this on, finally got it only to find out that the zipper was broken. It was such a hassel to get on, I hate the idea of taking it off and starting again. We had the foam topper in there and it fit okay with that.

Item was incorrectly described. Product description advertised the item as waterproof, but the packaging on the received item used the term "water-resistant." The packaging also did not list the size of the item anywhere. I purchased a Twin cover, but the word Twin is not shown on the labeling included in the package (see photos) so it's not possible for me to tell if I received what I ordered. It's possible the item label includes the word "Twin," but I did not open the item to check due to the incorrect product description. I will be returning this unopened. Accordingly, I did not touch the material, but it seriously looks like Tyvek. Tyvek does not breath well or feel great against skin so I'm not sure how ideal it would be as a mattress cover.
