A: Hello, Yes, this will fit a box spring. Most of the time the box spring is not as thick/deep as a mattress so the encasement may be loose on the box spring. A: Yes, but don't get it. It's way too large, but it is basically a plastic like tissue. I put it on with the care of pantyhose and set it down like a baby. I still had holes and tears from it touching the frame, the mattress, basically anything.
