We live in Albuquerque and have had an unfortunate run in with bed bugs. Anyone can get them no matter how clean you are! When terminex comes and does their checks/spraying each week, they check inside that velcro spot too, as one should! This is the second time one has gotten a small rip under the corner where they pull to check. When we were doing do our checks, before taping it shut, we would hold that bottom part down while we pull. We now have 2 of these covers on each mattress in that room. 🫠 If this has happened to you, we have learned that black gorilla tape sticks really well to the mattress covers if you want to just tape it off right off the bat! If you find yourself in this situation, do your own research from reputable sources on other things to do. Terminex has not volunteered that information, I have had to ask and look into things on my own. They do give you a really good homework sheet for prepping for them to come though! We were given the all clear and then found more within 2 weeks. Even if you are given an all clear, it is not uncommon for them to not really be all clear, so keep checking! They are masters at hiding. We were doing nightly bed checks because it was taking forever for Terminex to get back with us over the holiday and we found a freaking the freaking hole in that spot and we both had checked it before and there was no hole at the beginning. Fast forward to terminex coming again and then that night we do our nightly bed check (all the layers, all the seams, the bed slats, those boogers hide in the smallest crevices and not just in the bedding, your slats and screw and any places were things join). We found there was suddenly a new small tear in the same spot as the other one, under one of the corners of the velcro area. We use a steamer to kill any we find in between visits and bag them before throwing away to prevent spreading the problem to anyone else. You are putting a lot of faith in these covers knowing it isn't recommend to toss stuff, which I understand. But knowing that it only takes one hole and you have a problem again, you would think they would make them a little better as they are used to keep things in that are already there and to keep infestation out of your mattresses. They can still hang out on those mattress covers though so check them too! Don't forget the corners where they crinkle in and gently seperating the seams as you check those. When it does come time to replace ours I will probably be going with the home defense ones because what good does it do getting this cheaper option if you have to buy multiples?

I have a 14” mattress and I could not get this to fit. When I tried to squeeze it in, the zipper broke.

item is great but zipper is fragile. also the item was dirty when I got it and I had to wash it a couple of times.

There was a hole in the fabric not even a week after I purchased this. not sturdy at all. bad quality.

I bought this to protect my mattress during a move and it did that job well BUT it was a nightmare to get on and off…. The zipper constantly gets stuck. I eventually gave up and cut it to get it off.

This cover ruined the mattress. Would give 0 stars if possible. Mold grew on the base of the mattress. We had to throw out two mattresses due to the mold. We have only been using the covers for 8 months.

Works great and fits well! Kind of a pain to put on, but worth it. I tested it by pouring water onto it and while it didn’t bead off it didn’t absorb into the mattress.

While I'm sure this does it's job for allergies I'm not sure how many nights I can actually stand sleeping with it. Even with my electric blanket on high (in August) the coldness from this cover still affects my sleep. I wake up during the night so cold I can feel it in my bones. If you sleep to warm (as my husband does) you'll love this!

This is great for my son’s bed. It was very easy to put in. His mattress is only about 7 inches thick. I can’t imagine this fitting a mattress thicker than that.
