Great gusset, but not extra firm
I would call it firm, at most. Also, the cover is not very soft and is somewhat noisy when moved, but those issues are acceptable. The fantastic wide gusset is hard to find in pillows and makes the stuffing evenly distributed. If you want a medium to firm pillow I would give it a try, but if you truly want extra firm, look elsewhere.
