But the Amazon skill barely works (I have set it up 5+ times and it will work between 0-3 days before failing again). And I have yet to see the timer in the Twinkly app itself function correctly -- no matter how I set it, it never actually turns the lights on or off. Very disappointing flaws for an otherwise terrific product! Hey Twinkly -- update the app, revise the firmware and update Alexa as well

Once unboxed the set-up for wireless control is a breeze. The lights have multiple modes to control color and ‘twinkling’ and they are very bright! No need to wait until Christmas to use these, there are so many fun ways they can be installed to enhance any space!

I do wish the instructions included suggestions on removing from box and hanging. There were zip ties that I wasn’t sure needed to be cut off or left in place. I left them on. I’m looking forward to enjoying these over the holidays or I might even hang on my patio for the summer.

They connect to an app on you phone, which I’ve only gotten to explore a little bit so far. I will say unpacking them was a bit of a struggle. They used white zip ties (as pictured) to hold together parts and I wasn’t sure if it was just packaging or part of the product. Thankfully I didn’t end up cutting them like I had thought maybe needed done cause it is a part of the product. I look forward to using them more during the holidays!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! So happy that I received the Twinkly lights (gold & silver) through Influenster in return for my honest review. This is next level lighting! To start, the lights are very sturdy — not cheap like most other light sets. They are able to be used indoors or outdoors. There is an app (Twinkly) that helps to see the multitudes of patterns that the lights make. These are not just lights that twinkle, they make different patterns: think drone show! I’m excited to hang them and see my friends’ reactions. I am still learning about new features, which makes it even more fun . But, I had to put my glasses on to read the instructions. It looks like a size 3 or 4 font (lol).

I can definitely see the difference in these and traditional lights based on the quality of the materials. They're a bit pricey but for the cool features and solid build, they're totally worth it.
