It works perfectly for the purpose. I will say that when my phone is in my pocket or when I do not have the cord around my wrist it is just a bit annoying to have hanging there.

It is (however) compatible with other Monarch cases but not for my Samsung. I would have given a better review if this had been disclosed better prior to purchasing as now I have a lanyard accessory that can't be used with my device.
