I should have listened to the negative reviews. The lock stays locked but that is the extent of the positive things I have to say. When trying to use the Auto Unlock function I would get a notification two blocks away that the door woud unlock as I approached, and it never did. Due to this I never trusted the Auto Lock to actually work. With Auto Unlock disabled it took too long for the app to connect, it was easier to use the keypad which defeats the purpose. After two weeks the deadbolt doesn't retract far enough to actually unlock on the first try, so I have to unlock relock and unlock again to open the door.

Very easy to set up and use. I can set different codes for my workers and housekeeper when we aren’t there!

They were always nice, but a lot of discussion to get it resolved. Everything works now, but a little nervous because of initial quality. Still probably recommend

They’re a great way to maintain control and security from a distance. We have them on our landlord storage areas at each building which gives us peace of mind knowing we can let a tenant in remotely if they need to access building supplies.

It was a easy to install and is working great . Let’s hope it can handle Chicago’s winters weather.

The unit is sturdy and reliable and very easy for guests to use. Battery life is good so far at 2 months of active usage. I had to remotely reset my bluetooth/wifi bridge once using a smart plug I own, but otherwise, it has been remotely accessible the entire time. Minor suggestion, the Auto lock timer needs to be increased from current max of 5 minutes to at least 60 minutes (should be an easy software fix)

But once we figured that out installation was easy and the lock is so convenient. I wish I had installed these years ago!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation and setup was very easy and I love the fact that you can operate the lock remotely. These locks are so good that this purchase was my second.

This lock is better than expected, it came very well packaged with clear and helpful instructions. There video tutorials you assist. I am pretty handy around the house, so it was straight forward, the installation took less than an hour from start to finish, including downloading the app and setting up user codes.

Was easy to install on a door where the lock hole measurements fit their sizing requirements. Works great. I only with the inside piece weren’t all black so it is easier to see that the lock is locked in dim lighting. I also find the phone options inconvenient for my needs. To have it automatically unlock when you get home you have to have location services turned on. I don’t like having location always on so I can’t use that feature. The magic wave would be great, except you have to have opened the app in the last 5 minutes, also making it kind of useless if you are trying to reduce the number of things you have to do to get your door open. Long story short, I just use the keypad most of the time, but I’m glad to have the option to open the door from my phone while I’m away and customize codes for different users.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the Ultraloc a day or so before I was expecting it to arrive which was nice given the world's supply chain problems. Installation was very simple and it took less than 10 minutes to remove the old lock and install the Ultraloc. Since I already had an U-Tec account and an Ultraloc U-Bolt Pro installed in my garage, after installation, it took less than 5 minutes to pair to the Bluetooth and set the combination. Very happy with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A review of the U-Bolt from U-Tec that I recently installed on a house in Washington state. The three locks we currently have are all Bluetooth locks that need a Wi-Fi bridge to work with Wi-Fi. Let's be honest this is a pain in the butt and we find we must occasionally unplug the bridge and plug it back in to reconnect with the lock in so we can control the lock remotely. We have never had any problems using the Bluetooth directly from a handheld device, but these blocks are distributed across the United States and we add remotely. We also routinely open the door remotely to let people in who are standing outside the door. We also use our U-Bolt with Alexa to make sure the door is locked the door at night when we do not use the auto-relock feature. This U-Bolt installation was a replacement for a traditional keylock deadbolt. On the U-Bolt, the plate through which the deadbolt moves is thicker than the plate for the deadbolt lock that was originally there. Because of the tight tolerances for this particular installation it was necessary to increase the mortise for the plate in the edge of the door. I don't know if this will be a problem that most users will have. Other than that slight change, it was an easy and very fast installation. The lock worked immediately, and Unitech has done a marvelous job of improving the software for the lock set up. If the door is not completely closed and the deadbolt cannot automatically lock, the lock sends out a notification to my phone. I find this to be a very, very useful feature. We also use alerts for particular users coming and going. We are having a problem with a member of our household leaving and returning in the middle of the night. By setting up an alert for this user, we receive a notification when that particular user unlocks the deadbolt from outside the house, and when the lock is manually unlocked during the night. The next Ultraloq I buy will be one of the Wi-Fi versions that do not require a bridge. We see this as a great step forward, and have been very disappointed that that U-Tec did not bring out this technology earlier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with my Ultra Lock. As I walk up to the door, i press a button and I’m in! Sometimes a delay in app opening but not a big issue. Experienced installer is recommended as bolt needs good clearances.
