Ehh

Some of the storyline is captivating, but it took me a long time to get through it because it was pretty predictable/overly unrealistic at times. Not a huge fan of the writing style. Long, repetitive descriptions of one character’s feelings towards the current situation or past, rather than a thriller focused on what is happening.

Captivating thriller!

Once again, Laura Dave takes us on a fast-track race. It’s been five years since Bailey’s father, Owen, left in a hurry and now there are more on-the-go maneuvers with his daughter and wife. It’s set up where you want the good family to win over the ruthless family representing criminal organizations. There’s no doubt that this book will be another best-selling novel as it’s gripping with strong family values. The story has a fair amount of twist and turns. And then when you get to the end, you are wondering what can possibly be next.
