UPPAbaby Remi V2 Standard Playard - Townsend

I have used other playard bassinets in the past, and this one is by far the most convenient, well constructed, and nice to look at one I have seen. I love this nice sage green color! It has sort of a skirt at the bottom, which is helpful to prevent toys from rolling underneath. I like that feature. We mostly use this for travel, and it is really convenient and easy to set up and take down. Really smooth, truly one handed setup. The diaper changing table is a great addition, but the best part about it is that it can just be flipped over and stays attached when not in use. The only issue I had with this was that the extension bars on one side of the changing table didn't stay locked; like the little pin and it's tension spring had fallen out of place. It was still stable once attached to the playard edges, though. The mattress is super cushy and easy to clean. There is much better support in this mattress and the bottom structure that in other playard bassinets I have used. We don't really utilize the front zipper option since we primarily use Remi V2 for naps, and I don't mind bending to pick my baby up. For those that would use it more as an in and out play area, the zipper is really well constructed and doesn't snag. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. That is really the best possible description of my experience with the Remi V2 playard from UPPAbaby. I was lucky enough to be able to receive it in exchange for my honest opinion, but I can assure you that I take my responsibility to provide all the nitty gritty details seriously, so you'll get the full rundown of the bad, and the good. First of all, let's start with the cons: this thing is bulky. Interestingly, it's more bulky/cumbersome when folded up than it is when it's out. I think this is because I expected the amount of space it would take up when it's up (a normal amount for a playard), but I'm used to ones that get rather compact when not in use and this one doesn't. Additionally, the way it secures once folded was originally really cool, but I think it's what leads to it being bulkier. Let me explain-instead of needing to secure it with 3 bands like every other playard I've ever used, it only needs to secure with one that sort of comes out further than the rest with an extra panel. It makes it SUPER convenient and easy to secure. However, I think this adds a bit of bulk, and it also makes it so that holding the playard (when folded) is rather unsteady. I also didn't like the way the mattress flap closed over the instructions as it then required me to open it in order to secure the mattress properly in the playard, thus defeating the purpose a little bit as the manual no longer stayed in place securely. I can definitely see it quickly getting lost or damaged if I try to keep it in that pouch. Additionally, I didn't feel like the mattress set fully securely in the bottom of the playard. Of course there is always some give with these, but I felt like this one had a bit too much wiggle room for how premium it felt. My toddler instantly got toys underneath the mattress, which were kind of a pain to get out and made me worry that it will damage the mattress as my toddler was perfectly content to continue playing on top of the mattress that was on top of his toys. I don't know, I just expected a little better. I was also disappointed in not having a sheet to put on the mattress. I know its important to only use the items that come with it for safe sleep, but its a recipe for disaster with children. My son drools in his sleep due to enlarged adenoids (we are having them removed soon) but that just left drool spots on the mattress which is arguably more difficult to clean than tossing a sheet in the wash. Alright, onto the pros (of which there are plenty!). First of all, the material of this playard is absolutely top of the line. It is so soft and plush, while also feeling quite durable. It looks so good in my home as well with it's sleek aesthetics. The color options are top tier and I appreciate that it's not just beige or grey. I also appreciate that it comes with a carry bag to easily, and securely, place the playard when it's not in use. Since we have a number of kiddos, we often need to ensure we're maximizing our space, so pulling it down when not in use is a must. That leads to my next pro: setting up this playard quite literally takes 2 minutes. No really, 2 minutes, that's it. It's so fast and easy it's wild. Taking it down is just as quick. This really helps ensure I am consistently able to set it up and take it down without needing to really analyze if it's worth the time and effort in order to keep our space open and clear. Finally, the changing pad is absolutely amazing. It is super easy to attach and the way it stays compact and folds down is fantastic. Wiping it clean was easy peasy as well. Overall, this playard is really versatile with it's ability to grow with my kiddos from newborn through toddlerhood, which makes it a great value. I know it's made with good materials and that it will last with no issues. This is truly a solid 8.5/10 product for my family and I will definitely be recommending it to everyone I know. With just a few small tweaks (because really everything above are small issues), this could be a 10/10.

It’s sturdy, comfortable, and feels very well made. The mesh sides make it easy to keep an eye on baby, and I especially love the zippered side, which makes getting baby in and out so much easier. It folds up nicely when you’re not using it and has been great for both everyday use and travel. I also love the attachments that come with it—they’re such a great added feature and make the pack and play even more versatile! We have used two other playard brands in the past, and the Remi V2 playard was by far the easiest to set up! The one handed setup feature is a game-changer for busy moms and dads and it is as simple to take down as it is to set up. The overall design is very sleek and the playard is compact while having ample room for my baby to sleep and play. I was initially skeptical of the breathable mattress because it felt flimsy to me on my initial assessment. However, once fully set up the mattress was stable and comfortable for my little one to sleep and play in (In fact, it is so comfortable that my baby actually had her first 12 hour stretch of nighttime sleep while traveling in this playard!). With one of our children currently being under 5 months old, the bassinet feature is my favorite aspect of this playard! It was so nice for our recent travels not to have to bend over so far to get my little one into a safe sleep environment. The only downside to this playard is that the storage bag is not very compact, so we won’t be bringing this playard with us on any plane travels. However, this is because of the added attachment features of the bassinet and changing station. This will definitely be our go-to playard for local travel and overnight trips that are driving distance!

It truly is worth every penny, especially if you travel often like us. The best feature in my opinion is the one-hand open feature requiring minimal effort for set up. For closure, the frame collapses with the pull of one strap. The mattress then wraps around the collapsable frame and fits loosely in its travel bag with the changing pad sitting right on top. I’ve borrowed similar products from friends and have never been able to quickly set up or store a playard like I have with this product. The frame of the Remi V2 playard is lightweight, sturdy and makes for easy transfer between our home and vacation home. We have a newborn and an 18 month old and both use this product! We have found the changing station is so convenient and well thought out as it folds over the side of the playard when not being used. This feature is truly a game changer seeing as you don’t have to take it off and put it back on every single diaper change like most playards. When folded over the side, the changing station doesn’t get in the way of anything whatsoever. The overall design of the Remi V2 Playard makes for quick and hassle-free set up and storage. It is by far the comfiest playard we have ever used! The material along the top is so soft and the mattress is well made and very supportive. The sides of the playard are made of a breathable mesh allowing me to easily check on the children when using it for play or while sleeping. I truly can’t recommend this product enough! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we received this Playard from the Stellar Product Testing Panel I wasn't sure what to expect. We have an older lower end playard that hasn't been great but this one has been AMAZING. Right off the bat I couldn't believe how nice the material was. The mattress and edge padding are soft and plush. Our baby loves playing and napping in it, she took to it right away. The zip up door on the side is a huge plus for playtime as she can come and go as she pleases. Another big bonus was the color - Maddie is a beautiful neutral green that blends with and compliments our home's aesthetic. The changing table is so convenient and detaches and stores easily - great for trips to see family and friends and beats changing her on the floor. It's very sturdy so no cause for safety concerns either. Now let's talk about setup: Most playards are cumbersome to setup, sometimes making them seem more like an engineering project than a convenience. Not the case with the Remi V2. From the time I cut the box open, to having it fully setup including the changing table it took less than 5 minutes. You can almost do it with one hand. It breaks down just as easily - simply pull the handle in the middle under the mattress and it collapses - simple as that. The mattress then wraps around the outside of the collapsed playard for storage in the carrying bag. If I had to make one note about the playard it would be the weight - it is a little on the heavy side for my wife if it has to be carried a long distance or up stairs. At the same time, I think that speaks to the quality of the product. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy the Remi V2. If you want your moneys worth this is the playard I would by. Thanks UPPABaby!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remi V2 Playard Review I’ve been really happy with the Remi V2, but the one-hand setup is easily my favorite feature. I could take the whole thing down, move it into another room, and set it back up again while I was holding my baby. That made it so much more useful day to day because I wasn’t stuck keeping it in one spot or waiting until I had both hands free to move it. The mattress felt supportive and comfortable, and I really liked that it was breathable. My baby seemed perfectly comfortable playing and resting in it, and the whole thing felt sturdy once it was set up. I also really liked having the changing station right there. It saved me from carrying the baby into another room every time he needed a diaper change, which was especially nice on busy days when I was already juggling a million other things. I wasn’t able to try every feature, though. My baby was already standing by the time I got the Remi V2, so we were past the stage where I could use the bassinet. I can’t really speak to that part from personal experience, but I appreciated that the playard still had plenty of use for us even with an older baby. Overall, I think the Remi V2 is really practical for everyday life. For me, the biggest selling point is how easy it is to collapse, move, and set back up one-handed while holding a baby. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to test the Uppababy Remi V2 playard through Stellar Product Testing Panel and it's really exceeded all of my expectations. We're owners of the Uppababy Vista 2 stroller so we've long been fans of the quality and aesthetic of Uppababy products, but candidly, I wans't sure there would be much of a difference when it came to playards. I am pleasantly surprised to be quite wrong about that. We're a household with a five month old and two year old.. We've previously used a more budget-friendly playard as a travel crib and didn't have any issues with it, but it turns out we had a failure of imagination. Immediately upon unboxing, my toddler became enamored with the Remi V2. It has become a staple of our living room playtime, and given the design, it's not an eyesore whatsoever. The key for my toddler is that there is a zipper panel allowing easy access into the playard which makes it an incredible playspace for him. We're now constantly building magnatiles, creating forts, and compiling stuffed animals in the space. He really loves it in a way I couldn't expect - and my wife and I love that it isn't an eyesore. Here's some additional pros: -The zipper entrance is also enormously helpful to get our infant in and out of the space without disturbing her sleep - she loves napping in it. -The vented mattress is very reassuring with an infant. -The changing table attachment will be great when we travel - hotels and airbnbs never have a safe space to change a little one. -The infant bassinet insert is great to keep our newborn at eye level in the bedroom. -The setup and breakdown is quite easy! My only small con is that it's slightly larger and heavier than other models - but it doesn't take up noticeably more space in our trunk and shouldn't be an issue when flying with it. If you're on the fence - I'd absolutely recommend it as something that can be fun and functional for years.

It’s beautiful to look at, I love that it looks nice in the house instead of feeling like a bulky baby item. It’s hard to believe how far technology has come since I had my first baby back in 2009. It’s so easy to set up - you can do it with one hand and the quality is excellent. There’s plenty of room for little ones to play safely, and it’s been really convenient for everyday use. Since the day I received this from Stellar Product Testing Panel - I have left it set up in my living room because my one year old and four year old play together in it so nicely and my guests who have younger babies use it also. The change station is still able to fit my 18 month old comfortably and although she’s a little old for the bassinet attachment I still fitted it to try it, I would love this for the new born stage, it’s perfect height and very secure. I love that it has the zip open door so they can go freely in and out. The mattress is so soft and comfortable for little ones and the cover is removable for washing. The only thing is, I wish the travel bag/case had wheels for transporting it - hence 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, I’m really happy with it and highly recommend the Remi V2 to other parents!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] FINALLY! A Playard that has a ONE-HAND PULL setup. I have a 12 week old, 2 year old, and 5 year old. As a mom of 3 including a newborn, the Remi V2 Playard is a game changer! The setup and teardown is definitely my favorite feature of this playard, as it is all so user friendly, or, “busy mom friendly”. The bassinet attachment easily zips on and off, and the changing pad just clicks on the top! We currently have it in our living room using the bassinet attachment for when we need a safe spot for our baby to “play”, take a nap, and we also have the changing pad ready to go. I love how easy it is to move (it has wheels!!!) from room to room, and being able to change diapers on the wipeable changing pad is so convenient. It LOOKS amazing, and goes with the decor in our home which is important to me! It is pretty heavy when carrying this playard in the carry bag. When it is set up, it’s easy to move due to the wheels. There are so many things to love about this pack & play, but I think my top favorite is the mattress. I felt legitimately guilty laying our baby down in our previous pack & play because the mattress felt like a stiff board, and adding layers of cushioning poses safety risks. This mattress is a game changer - it’s firm enough and breathable enough to be safe, but plush enough to actually be comfortable for our now-toddler. We have used it less for sleep and more for contained play (like when I’m solo parenting and need to take a shower), and it has been fantastic for that. It’s so easy to collapse and move around as needed, which has been essential being 6 months pregnant too. My husband didn’t even need to glance at the instructions the first time he packed it, it was so intuitive and quick. Other things I’ve loved: the super soft high quality fabric, the side access panel (I’ve always wanted one with this), and the fact that it fits so well in its bag. (This may seem minor unless you’ve also had the experience of wrestling a pack & play into a too-small carrying bag.) The size is slightly smaller than our last one, but that’s actually worked better for our uses, like fitting in our tiny bathroom, or fitting halfway into hotel closets on trips. It folds up compactly, but is slightly on the heavier side - but that has felt like a worthwhile trade for the quality mattress/fabrics/construction. Overall, this pack & play has been a huge upgrade for us. I can’t wait to put the bassinet attachment and changing station to use for our second baby due this winter!

I was able to take it with us on a recent family vacation, which gave me a great opportunity to really put it to the test and experience both the pros and cons. I’ve tried several different playards over the years with my little ones, and this is definitely my favorite so far. The biggest thing that stood out to me was the mattress. It feels much higher quality than the mattresses in other playards I’ve used, and I really appreciated how breathable and supportive it is. I felt more comfortable knowing my son was sleeping on a well-made mattress, and he seemed noticeably more comfortable and slept better in it. The changing station was also a huge plus, especially while traveling. It made diaper changes so much easier and was really simple to attach and remove whenever we needed it. Setup was quick and easy, and I especially loved the one-hand open feature. Being able to open it while holding a child made a big difference and was so convenient. It is a little heavier than some of the other playards I’ve used, but honestly, I think the extra weight is worth it. The material is high quality and feels sturdy. The assembly and disassembly is easier than previous playards I’ve owned. With a pull and a push that’s all you need. The bedding was more comfortable than I expected and my baby girl slept well in it. It is a large playard and heavy so the portability to your car was on the difficult side. It does have wheels. So, if it’s set up, it’s not difficult to move from one room to another. The changing table is convenient. However, I do have a larger baby and it ended up not being of good use to me. My baby girl loved being able to play in the playard and with the breathability sides as well as mattress, it made me feel at ease while she slept. The design itself is sleek and not an eyesore. Made me feel like I don’t have baby products overtaking my house. Overall, I enjoyed using the playard and plan on continuing to use it. The only recommendation I have is for the storage bag to have wheels so you don’t have to lug it on your shoulders when traveling.

I love to have a play yard in our main living area as a safe, convenient place for my daughter to nap and hangout in. We had been using another brand of play yard, and while I know baby gear is just a part of life now, I just really hated how it looked so harsh against the natural tones in my house and ended up moving it to the basement. But the great news is the the V2 is way more than just pretty to look at! My daughter is 4 months old (not quite rolling over yet) so we have left the bassinet attachment zipped in rather than using the larger play area. (Note on the zip in bassinet attachment: it was honestly a little difficult to figure out how to get this attached, but once I got it I felt confident that it was totally secure. The rest of the set up was extremely easy.) it’s easy to pull around the house too, even on carpet, so baby can hangout with me wherever. We have also used the diaper changing station that attaches! It is definitely a nice feature but not a feature that we personally use consistently. My daughter also seems to be more comfortable and sleep for longer stretches in this playard vs the other one we had been using. The mattress is really nice quality, soft material and breathable. I’m very grateful Stellar Product Testing sent us this to try out in exchange for a review- it’s so nice to have a play yard that prioritizes safety and comfort, without having to sacrifice style.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box I knew this playard would exceed my expectations. The materials are so luxurious yet breathable. My baby truly was so comfortable each moment spent in the Remi v2. I'm not sure I've seen such an easy pop up playard, it really does instantly pop up! No more fighting the buttons and locks that come with typical pop-up beds! The zip on bassinet attachment was also insanely easy to use. I was very shocked at its changing pad attachment, the pad securely locks onto the side, and flips over the side when not in use. I did travel with this bed and it was a breeze, love the option to unzip the front to check on baby or while playing. I was able to wheel the bed close around when needed super smoothly. Cleaning the breathable bed insert has been very convenient. The Remi v2 is truly a must have for babies and small toddlers! I received this process as a gift from Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I am so glad it's very neutral black and flows with my decor. We've been leaving it up, but it does conveniently fold for easy travel. The material is so soft and luxurious feeling. I climbed in there with the baby and was surprised by how plush the bottom insert is. The fact that it's machine washable is a great bonus! I use the changing table that comes with it frequently because it's waterproof material and only takes a quick second to wipe clean. I love the height of this pack and play. It's low enough to where my baby can stand up and see what's going on! The zipper feature is great too because my kids love to come in and out to play with baby! The only thing I didn't like was the wheels are facing different ways so they aren't functional, and they're a cheap plastic. They would've moved better if they were a more rubber like material and angled in the same direction. The wheels must only be for setup and not to help it move around the room.
