Moody and Creepy
Unsettling the first time trough. Nuanced the second time. And more thought provoking with every viewing. Lupita Nyong'o also gives a performance criminally underappreciated by the academy awards. If you're just here for gore and scares, I'd say there are other films that could serve you better. But if you're interested in watching a creepy film with a focus on mood and aesthetic, this is a strong pick!

Really enjoyed this! Not your typical scary movie, it was more weird than scary but it definitely did keep me at the edge of my seat. I think it’s a must watch, something different !

Let Down
I am a big fan of Jordan Peele since Key and Peele came out on CC. But this didn’t make the mark. There were too many plot holes. Too many areas in the movie line that made you go... “well if that happened, then how is this...” or, “but this just doesn’t add up... why did he do that?” It just didn’t have cohesive story-telling which is a let-down for sure. We were really excited for a scary movie, and there were quite a few jump scares and frightening scenes, just not enough meat on the bones to call this a decent thriller unfortunately.
