Target sent me broken used steamer

Like how it looks and how it feels…when it works. Worked fully twice, and the four times I’ve tried to use it after that, it stops putting out steam and the light blinks after 30 seconds. You have to unplug it and turn it back on to get it to work for those 30 seconds again. Also the back tank is impossible to open without a tool of some sort. No grip lines, nothin. Takes a jar opener grip pad to get tank out to refill.

Constantly leaking and this is the second one I had.

Do not purchase. The manufacturer does not warrant the product. The device leaks and shuts off constantly. I have owned this device for less than a year. I contacted the manufacturer and they are not honoring my complaint. I sent all requested information and as of today, no resolution. BUYER BEWARE!

can anyone figure out how to get the refill cap open?

Did I get the only defective steamer? I wanted to love this so much. Esthetically, it’s pretty & looks good quality. But the first time I tried this, I was dumb and didn’t have it on a flat surface because I wanted to sit on my couch and relax with it. I filled the little tank to between Max and Min fill, put it in the reservoir. I heard it trickle into the basin, but when I pushed the on button, the water leaked out all over me. So, the next time I used it after letting it completely dry out, I used as directed on a flat surface on my bathroom counter. Same thing, leaked all over my counter while on a flat surface. I read the instructions before doing all of this and first time was me, second time…? I’m definitely returning.

This steamer is extremely hard to open. Almost impossible. Once you finally get it open but it’s a process each time and it’s not worth it.

Heats up fast on my very first use. The steamer looks very sturdy and well made.

I love using this when my skins is dull, tired looking and burned out. This gives my face life and puts moisture back into my skin and has helped blemishes. I like that I can add essential oils to it as well. Highly recommend!

This is worth the money! Mine has been shutting off after about 6 min, then shutting off every few minutes after that. So I’m not sure why that’s happening. However, when it’s running, it’s amazing. Tons of steam, very relaxing. I ordered a new one once they came back in stock and I will return the old one when the new one arrives, hoping it doesn’t turn off unexpectedly as well!

This steamer is small enough that it doesn’t take up a lot of space on your counter and I appreciate that, because the commercial steamers are huge and I never thought I would own one. It’s extremely important that you only use distilled water in this. If you use regular tap water, this risks mineral build up that can increase spitting and potentially burning you, so please take the time to purchase distilled water from the store. This little steamer makes it very easy to fill with water. It has a removable tank with very easy to read fill marks. I also love the small suctions on the bottom of the steamer that help stabilize it on the counter. On your first steam, please let it run for a few minutes before bringing your face close, as the water heats it does spit a little. After it’s been actively steaming for a few minutes, you can enjoy a very pleasant steam. Your skin will feel fantastic afterwards and is perfect to layer on serums, masks, and moisturizers. It’s a definite treat for your skin and I highly recommend adding in steaming if you’re serious about your skincare. This steamer also comes with special attachments to add aromatherapy. Please do not add essential oils or anything else to the actual water tank, but take as you the added attachments to add in essential oil therapy to your experience. Very thoughtful product to add in this option. This is great because right now when you don’t necessarily want to visit the spa, you can treat yourself.

It is simple to use just fill up The water tank and add your essential oils if you choose. It comes within 3 oil wells . Then just turn it on and let it do it’s job. I’ve noticed cleared and softer skin but also like the relaxing quality it offers. You can’t go wrong with this!

I thought it would be similar to the old school way of covering your head with a towel over boiling water just to direct the steam. I was wonderfully surprised. It's cute, which right away makes it feel like your in for a treat. This is lightweight and compact enough that it could sit on your vanity for easy accessibility. The rose gold trim just adds a touch of "fancy" to it. Filling the reservoir with distilled water was easy. It heated up in less than 2 minutes once turned on. There is a timer (15 minutes) automatically in place so I'd suggest not turning it on until you are situated and ready to use. The adjustable nozzle is easy to use when wanting to direct the steam to specific areas. It comes with (3) essential oil baskets in varying colors making it easy to not overlap oils within one. The temperature of the steam is at a comfortable level for all areas of face, except maybe the lips. I would recommend using some sort of lip balm just for extra protection. After the 1st use my face felt much more relaxed and hydrated. I immediately sent a picture of the steamer to a friend and told her she needs to try it. Clean up was a breeze, just remove the reservoir tank, unscrew the plug and let air dry.

I did some research on facial steamers and decided on this one last year. I've been using it mainly during winter or whenever my skin feels dry and doesn't look as good as it should. This is a really good steamer - never fails and lots of steam comes out - very well made and you can remove the water container to let it air out. I just bought the Vanity Planet facial brush with the silicone brush attachment and can't wait for that one! I have a clarisonic but it's old now so I bought this one basically for the silicone brush AND it comes with 2 other brush attachments. These products are well made and reasonably priced. I want the hot/cold facial wand but it's no longer carried on Target! Please bring that one back!

With the first use the steam was inconsistent at first, spewing some droplets but then it starting to produce a nice flow of steam. I haven't had a problem since. I will be using this once or twice a week to ready my skin for a deep cleanse & then follow with moisturizing or exfoliating products. I loved that you can add essential oils, not only does this make this a more relaxing experience but it adds a touch of fragrance to the area. Another plus is I use this in an area where we have a lot of plants which love the extra moisture! So, I deep cleanse my face, the room gets a touch of fragrance & my plants get a moisture boost!
