Stop use and ask a doctor if : you or your partner get burning, itching, a rash, or other irritation of the vagina or penis.Directions
Before using this product, read the enclosed package insert for complete directions and information. Be sure your fingers are dry before touching the film. Insert one film and place as far into the vagina as possible against the cervix. Insert VCF not less than 15 minutes and not more than 3 hours before intercourse. Use one film before each act of intercourse.Other information
Studies have raised safety concerns that products containing the spermicide nonoxynol-9 can irritate the vagina and rectum. Sometimes this irritation has no symptoms. This irritation may increase the risk of getting HIV/AIDS from an infected partner. You can use nonoxynol-9 for birth control with or without a diaphragm or condom if you have sex with only one partner who is not infected with HIV and who has no other sexual partners or HIV risk factors. When used correctly every time you have sex, latex condoms greatly reduce, but do not eliminate, the risk of catching or spreading HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Use a latex condom without nonoxynol-9 if you or your sex partner has HIV/AIDS, multiple sex partners, or other HIV risk factors. Ask a health professional if you have questions about your best birth control and STD prevention methods. Store at room temperature, 59 degrees - 86 degrees F (15 degrees - 30 Degrees C). Avoid exposure to extremes of hot and cold.Inactive ingredients

Q: Can a water based lubricant be used along with this during intercourse?
A: Yes, you can use water based lubricant, but I would recommend you insert this first, so it doesn't dissolve on your hands (hands need to be dry). Or you can also consider using a spermicide that could double as a lubricant.
submitted byPlaytex user - 7 years agoA: This works with water or oil based lubricant; you must insert the film first and allow it to dissolve.
submitted bykdapothecus - 6 years agoA: We use KY. This is not runny and does not work as a lubricant. Make sure you allow it to dissolve for about 15 minutes.

Q: Does it sting for the man?
A: The only reason there would be any irritation/ burning would be due to an allergic reaction from the products main ingredient (nonoxynol9). If so, we advise not using any product with nonoxynol9.

Q: How does this product compare to the VCF Gel, in terms of how effective it is at birth control? Which of the two is better?
A: VCF Gel and Film are 94% effective when used alone and correctly. It does not have as many sideffects as hormonal birth contral and also contains no toxins.

Q: what would happen if you put all 9 in at once?
A: The presence of to much of the active ingredient (nonoxynol9) could render the contraceptive ineffective. We do not recommend using more then one (1) film per act of intercourse/ every three (3)hours.
