Answering machine unit works fine but handset appears defective. Even though volume turned completely up, unable to hear person on the other end. Also handset window display very faint, hard to see. Also there's no speakerphone function on handset.

Dead Phone
This phone came with a dead battery in the receiver. We followed all of the instructions for set and allowed it to charge. It never worked as the indicator stated that the battery it came with was dead. Not sure whether this sat on a shelf somewhere for a long time or not causing this issue. Very dissappointed.
